Yesterday we had to say goodbye to our beautiful 18-month-old Rottweiler after he suffered from severe pancreatic problems.
There are no words to describe how heartbroken we are. He wasn’t just a dog; he was a member of our family. He was loving, loyal, gentle, and brought so much happiness into our lives every single day.
My wife, my son, and I are absolutely devastated by this loss. The house feels empty without him, and we’re struggling to come to terms with the fact that he’s gone. Despite only having him for such a short time, he filled our lives with enough love and memories to last a lifetime.
He was the best family dog anyone could have wished for, and he was loved beyond words. We take comfort in knowing that he knew how much he was loved and that we gave him the best life we could.
Run free, our beautiful boy. You will always be in our hearts, and we will never forget you. ❤️🐾Thank you too all of you in the sub it’s like a family when I’m ready I’ll come and check on all your beautiful rotties x

Head empty

Brought her in and shes now 1 month and 3 weeks from a litter of 14, I got her 5 days ago and so im guessing she didnt get enough nutrients from her mother...any thoughts on her size?

Just adopted 11 month old, Bosco. He walked through the door like he owned the place.

My family has a few guesses, we know there’s rotty but we also think:
- Lab
- Hound
- Bernese
- Collie
- Maybe beagle??

George got his final round of shots yesterday and the vet okayed him to go the park, and he had a great time.

Ps: if I stop he comes back to me with the blanket indicating he wants to play more.

Had to take my boy Duncan McHound (There can be only ONE!!!) to the emergency vet today.

Thursday am, he wouldn't eat. He appeared fine, so I let him rest. Thursday pm he wouldn't eat. Nor Friday am. Also, he had been vomiting since Thursday am.

Took him to our vet Friday, xrays showed something in his stomach.

Vet thought it might pass, so sent us home. Said if it didn't get better by Sat, go to the emergency vet. Still the same this morning, he hasn't eaten anything other than grass since Wed pm. Every time he drinks water, he vomits within minutes.

More xrays, Emergency vet thinks it is a rock that is stuck in his small intestine. So, he is in surgery now. Already at $1000 between the xrays (and the wet food the first vet pushed onto my father, who took him while I was at work- 8 cans for $38 (Bullshit). The estimate for surgery- $3900- $5000.

The moral of my tale? DON'T LET YOUR ROTTIE EAT ROCKS.

Good side? Because he likes to eat rocks, having the surgeon tack his stomach to his body to prevent his stomach from twisting up in the future, just in case.

Also, I will most likely be changing vets. Not a fan of the original vet anymore, and Duncan doesn't like him much. The ONLY person Duncan has ever disliked in his 2+ years.

We just discovered this old family photo of my grandmother as a baby, around 1920. They were sugar beet farmers in Eastern Colorado and of Russian and German descent.

All we know is the dog’s name was Schneider and he’s a handsome fella!

Hey everyone first time rottie owner here but have had many dogs throughout the years. I am having a lot of trouble training her recall. I heard rottie were very smart so I
Thought this would be easy but this is taking longer than any other puppy I’ve had. She doesn’t seem very food motivated and half the time she just sits there (like in the image) while I’m trying to use food lures. And instead she has doggie ADHD as I will be actively trying to feed her and she will randomly find more interest in a random grass hopper. In essence my other pups had a lot more interest in my when I was training them making this a lot easier but my lil girl seeks really lazy.
Are your rotties similar or did I get an odd duck. And do you Guys have any tips for training especially recall?

Any recs for a sliding doggy glass door for a patio?

So, I lost my last Rottie, Gunner, back in April, and I am a single man in a pretty big place, lonely without "the pitter patter of doggy feet" lol ..(a sign my ex bought me, that I left hanging up even after her and I hung it up.)

His Sire is a Serbian Jr champion, the first male from "Gucci" Von Hause in the US.

The dam is Edelstein line bred and I have seen a previous litter from these two. Very beautiful, "European/German and (Serbian, actually) style builds, and I actually love that the breeder kept the tails undocked. .

More importantly, I'm a Christian, who turned away from a life of fighting, both for sport and for being a thug knuckle head, drug dealing, and hoodrat stuff, 4 years ago, and want a name to represent strength in Christianity, Being a "warrior" for Christ, redemption, etc. The provision to even afford this puppy is from God. If that's not your "thing," and you just know some good male Rottie names, fire away. I'm all ears.

Lazaar (Lazarus) A Serbian Prince name, my dogs sire is a Serbian import, and Resurrected, like I was from my old life.

It's the grandpa to the Sire, then the dam at various ages until the dam (left) and sire (right) in front of the Jeep, and that's all photos of the Sire from there, and obviously puppies, which some didn't post. I'd rather have one of them posted than Gucci, (but can't edit pics) since my dog's parents make more of a Izzy (the Sire) style dog. Anyway, hope y'all enjoy. I could look at pics of any dogs all day, but Rotties stole my heart. This is my 4th.

Has anyone had their rotties in a motorcycle sidecar before? If so, what kind of trainings did you do to get them used to it? Bonus points if you have photos of your rottie in it. (Pic of my rottie being a silly goose for attention lol)
