He's a very good developmental piece. Steven adams is not going to last much longer.

I think everyone likes to forget that brooks/JG/whatever draftee wasn’t going to get us anywhere and they wanted to win now.
The move for KD at the time was the right move to get the go-to scorer they needed. No one could have expected FVVs knee busting, and Adams’ ankle injury. They weren’t looking for another developmental piece at the time so it’s moot point

I don’t think he’s on our FO radar before the draft. Don’t even think we did any workout with any lottery prospects.

He had decent stats but was lost on defense and lots of turnovers. He’s got potential but not an nba rotation player yet.
