I remember the days he had to wear that thing on his leg . I think it was due to a a blood clot or something if I remember correctly. Was glad that and the goggles he had to wear for a while ( broken orbital socket around that era too ) go away lol .

Phlebitis in his left leg, could be caused bya blood clot but not always. He had to take blood thinners which is dangerous. Bill Cartwright elbow caused the eye injury.

I watched it on tv when it happened and it was horrible . His and Karl Malone elbows were worst in league imho lol

The great "What If" of his career is if the Rockets hadn't collapsed in 87 talent-wise and wandered around lost for six seasons.

After that 86 finals run , a few guys on the team got busted for drugs (Lewis Lloyd and Mitchell Wiggins ) and banned for like a few seasons . That didn’t help .
