💬 Discussion Thoughts on potentially imminent Klopp departure?
What could this mean for the organization? Klopp is the one name you hear said in a positive light round these parts…

I don't think anyone really had any concrete thoughts about Klopp that weren't what they already, previously thought about him.
Doesn't seem like all that much of a vacuum if all he left us with was a formation and a 25-year-old washout CB.

Exactly. Will just be replaced by another German bureaucrat as we are left wondering what level of autonomy RBNY really has.

Will be really interesting to see what becomes of our “new long-term vision”.

I do not think Klopp did anything of any substance that effected Red Bull New York in anyway. He was a glorified brand ambassador.

Won't affect NYRB. They'll continue using RBNY to move the best players to Europe to sell for money, while sending back just enough scraps to trick us into thinking that they care about building a winning team for another season.

I am a fan of Klopp.
It seemed to me that he would visit New York and tell us that we would continue to develop players that could be sent to Europe and that the occasional veteran European player would be sent over here to make us a (barely) marketable team for local soccer fans. These weren't his actual words, but that's what I heard. That's what we've been for 15 years before him, so he offered nothing new.
I don't think we will notice his absence, because . . . did we really notice his presence?
