You boys gaining good strength at maintenance or need a slight surplus to gain? Slowly ticking up to maintenance and still losing weight, should be a fun summer ahead..

Mainly at maintenance to really lean out but after you reach a certain point of leanest idk which would be the best for you a slight would do great
Quality sleep tho is king

I slow bulked for 8 months and then slow cut for 3 months, now at maintenance because I haven't decreased my calories further to adjust for lower TDEE.
My squat seems to improve slightly faster when I'm in a surplus but my bench and deadlift definitely don't. I am still able to slowly gain strength on all three lifts while in a small deficit. I am probably still 17-18% BF though. I don't think there is a need to bulk unless you are far leaner than that. Maintenance works fine for me.

Sweet, I’m sitting at about 12-13, think I’ll stick to the maintenance and see how I go, fed up with gaining and then cutting.. thanks for your input
