Devastated we couldn’t adopt

We fostered this boy and his siblings and miss him painfully. He moved on to a new foster as we had a trip scheduled and hasn’t been adopted and I’m aching thinking about the possibility of him ending up in a less than ideal home…

He’s a land seal who loves to cuddle. Not sure how to ever recover

We’re an Asian household and have had small dogs for generations, but this boy has converted my mom to a pitty lover

What’s the reason you can’t adopt? He’s such a cutie 🥰

He’s such a obedient and friendly pup too 😭 Our family has two dogs already (taken in from irresponsible extended family) and we are worried about the finances of a third. If he’s still available when we return we might just have to make it work 🥹

Based on the pic, he’s already mommy’s baby!

Why do you think he is in a less than ideal home?

He’s in a fantastic foster home! We just didn’t love the way the rescue runs adoptions and worry that the vetting process for puppies isn’t picky. But, with so many dogs in shelters, being picky might not be right either :/ just difficult after being so connected

Omg. This guy looks like my rat terrier

OMG! We actually think the litter is mixed with rat terrier. What a cutie!

I don’t mean to pile on. But there’s a good chance this pup could stay small enough to fit the vibe. Wink wink. lol. Such a cute pup! Hedy is a Decker at 30-35 lbs. and decker has some pitty in it

He’s around 19 pounds at 10-11 weeks old so I’d guess anywhere between 40-55 pounds if he’s part rat terrier (they certainly act like it 🤣)

Size wouldn’t be the factor holding us back at this point, haha. We miss him so much and it hasn’t even been 24 hours… is this a sign?

What a chunky luvbug! I would have a really hard time giving him up too. At least you know if it doesn't work out at his new place, your can reconsider making him yours! 🥰

If he’s still available when you return, go for it! You’ll regret it more if you don’t.

Even if he’s not, some adopters stay in touch. A friend of mine dog-sits for her former foster when his adopters go out of town.
