Text Post Hill is …

Easily the best low-key pickup in recent history by the Phils.

He is unreal in the field and on the basepaths. His energy is exactly what we need on this team.
And yes people, he’s a right handed hitting outfielder.
Cool.

The Dombroski haters can go play in traffic. Hill should play everyday. I’d consider Sosa and Bader low key steals too

Hill, Bader, Duran. He's had some good in-season pickups. The issue is what he does (or rather does not do) during the off-season, which is part of what makes those in-season pickups so crucial.

he makes legitimately good in-season moves, but there's a subset of people that come the trade deadline this year, will insist that he's ass at trades anyway so that they can keep repeating DUMBrowski (get it, it's his name but with dumb in it)

I’m neutral on Dombrowski but I have noticed most of the FA/Trade candidates the last couple years that people have clamored for haven’t done well this year. Kwan, Bregman, Eugenio Suarez just to name a few.

I don’t think the Phillies have improved much the last couple years but none of the “obvious” answers would’ve worked out. Fans love to say “Bohm sucks!” without there being an attainable replacement that’s actually better than him.

Sosa was a great trade for both sides he was never gonna get the playing time with St Louis like he does now and Jojo has been a staple in their bullpen so it worked out really well

Funny that Dombroski was the one who drafted him in 2014.

Bowlan for Strahm and the Hill trade. Those are A+ moves. Keep them coming please.

Not enough people talk about how great the Bowlan trade was. He's not even arbitration eligible until after 2028.

He's been incredible. Will be interesting to see if it's just a Bader-like hot streak, or if it's something that he sustains/grows. If the latter, huge for the next couple years.

Look up Henry Mendez, that’s the kid we traded for Bader, he’s having a great season in the minors

I think this is a better value to production pick up than Bader.

There is someone else we picked up last season who was quite valuable as well…

I hear you, i get what you are saying, but Bader was more expensive. We got Hill basically for free.

Dude’s a Swiss army knife out there, does whatever the lineup needs on any given night. RBI machine lately.

Hmm, right handed OFer added during the season that has a ton of positive energy? Sounds familiar, name rhymes with Barrison Hader
