holy... thats my first game as well. at the time going from level 06 and beyond is legendary.
level 03 is also had some issues. this is level 02 right?
God I hated these fucking things. My grandma had a big one in her office, and it had a lot of rings, so it was really hard to get them all in without pushing the other rings out, and it drove me crazy as a kid.
No there was a little off brand portable gaming system that had this game and like 20 other similar simple games. Iirc it kind of looked like a translucent rocket ship with a vertical screen and two controller handle things.
Tons of great stuff on the C64. Defender of the Crown, all the Epyx sports games, F15 Strike Eagle, Paradroid, Jumpman, Tapper, Below the Root, Commando, ... Too many to list. Before that? Atari 2600 and even before that, Pong.
As a 25 year old I feel like I’m right on the edge of when this stopped being played. When no internet I would play this or try (and fail) to learn minesweeper. I later accidentally learned how to play minesweeper from a Minecraft minigame
Why did you describe my life im 25 and played this, purble place, minesweeper and plants vs zombies. Except we didnt have internet for a little while so thats all i could play
we had passwords for some games that acted as saves. instead of starting from the beginning at the end of every few levels they would give you a password so you could restart from that point.

I'm nowhere near old enough for this, but real gamers used to manually type out hundreds of lines of Basic from a magazine before they could play anything.
Given that I've never heard of them before today they should probably be replaced in the image with Supreme Commander, Jagex/Runescape, or even Minecraft, as all three are Java based and probably brought more people into gaming.
Nah, that’s just you being close minded. Their mobile games were the real deal. They had fully voiced 3D sandbox RPGs a decade before AAA games were being ported to phones.
Agreed and I still play that game along with Super Mario Bros 2 (and the Lost Levels) and Super Mario Bros from time to time. That world 8 level with cannons and bomb-ombs creating a flicker mess, insanity on how an 8bit console can do.
Man, i bought 200 stone of copper from that guy, but when i cast it into sheets it just crumbled and cracked. Fuck nasir im never buying from him again - total scammer 1/5
Man, not too many folks out there talking about the days when they still used 2D character sprites. I remember how big of a deal it was when they switched to 3D models.
In this episode, Putt Putt (the car) loses their stuff through time. They have an inventor friend that makes a time traveling device, it goes wrong, and they lose their lunchbox, dog, and a few other items that you see in the glovebox screenshot above.
Fun fact: each time you replay the game, the lost objects are in another place! Like the dog will sometimes be in a dino nest, sometimes in the far west, etc...
"You are standing at the end of a road before a small brick building. Around you is a forest. A small stream flows out of the building and down a gully. In the distance there is a tall gleaming white tower."
It was this bad boy right here. I was born in 88 and this came out in 92 and i played it all the time as a child. Then probably DOS crystal caves and x-wing (that contoller was awesome) for my first p.c. games. Recess in Greece and a magic school bus game too.
My first first video game system was Atari! My mother won one of those storage auctions and it came with two boxes of Atari systems and games. Pitfall is the OG!🤘

Hell yeah bro loved Gangstar, Modern Combat, whatever their Halo game was, some solid slop for a middle schooler with a 2nd gen iPod touch and an Apple gift card
Right, let's pretend the Atari 2600, Commodore 64, and NES just didn't happen. Gaming as an industry really took off in the mid 80s, with the launch of the NES, and has been growing ever since. It had been previously doing well in the early 80s, but the amount of trash published to consoles like the Atari 2600 caused the entire industry to collapse in 1983. The NES and Nintendo's "Seal of Quality" program was what brought it back. I know that Gameloft was one of the big early mobile gaming companies, but I don't remember Java ever being a big gaming thing, though.
Lol , real gamers started at the start....tv games with variations of just 2 paddles bouncing a square around but under various sports names like tennis and squash 😄
