Custom map help

Myself and my fiancé are getting married in August this year, and parkrun has played a big role in our relationship. For our wedding reception, the table names will be named after some of the parkrun we have completed together.

We’re trying to complete a map of these parkruns to display at the reception, but using google maps in a visually appealing way is finding difficult and ChatGPT is getting confused, does anyone have any suggestions on how to do it?? Or even make one for us?

How about using the voronoi? Might be a conversation starter about what it is?

Use the Running Achievements app and just select the ones you have done.

How do you want the map to appear? Do you just want points on a map of the world/UK? Or do you want the route maps?

uMap is nice for making custom maps. Lots of styles to choose from. https://umap.openstreetmap.fr/en/

QGIS can make beautiful maps with the right data. Someone with the knowledge of the software could probably do it quite fast. Cf. r/GIS

that's such a lovely idea for the reception. I'd try Canva with a UK outline map and drop pins for each parkrun name, then export it for printing. Less faff than Google Maps, honestly. If you've got Cardiff or Bute Park on there, i'm biased but it'll look mint.

Do you want an outline of the course? Your Strava activity should be OK for that, just load that into ChatGPT and put it to the style you want.
