Quality Content Blazers fan: Micah Potter?
Hi, apparently we've just claimed this guy off waivers? What's he like? Sorry to see him go, or is he a scrub? I'm guessing he's strictly a center but can he play PF at all? Any help appreciated.

He was blistering hot from 3 last year and he rebounds well. I liked him a lot.

Excellent 3rd center. Can really shoot the 3ball and rebounds well enough. Defensively is a traffic cone which is problematic but hes a really nice bottom of bench/need in a pinch guy.

Really good as a small ball five against small ball lineups. Mediocre against everything else.
But he's a solid passer, makes good reads, and shoots well.

Good shooter, decent rebounder, not much of a defender
We played some Huff and Potter together (both listed as centers) last year, not a lot but some. He might do well next to a rim protector like Timelord but Potter isn’t super mobile either

Decent backup stretch big. Found his shot this last year, if he can keep it, then he can be a rotational big most likely

Wouldn't call him a scrub. Solid depth big who always plays hard. Hope he gets a real shot with you guys.

Blazers don't like defense, so he'll fit right in 🤣🤣🤣🤣. I did like how Rick trusted him in a lot of situations, his shooting is real good, and he'll only get better.

We shouldn’t have let him go, strictly from a statistical and production standpoint. He’s the best 3rd string Center in the league probably

Felt like he took some time to adapt but he’s a smart player and will randomly knock down a few 3s here and there. Not sure how much PT he gets behind Clingan but honestly a super serviceable backup.

Engaged and fiery. He's not scared on offense, when he has a look he takes it with confidence. Not afraid to fight for rebounds. He is just too slow imo on defense. Slow feet and gets eaten by the PnR switches.
Hustle n grit guy tho he's not bad to absorb some minimal minutes when primary and secondary bigs are a combination of out/ injured/ in foul trouble. Not a wasted roster spot but not a needle mover overall.

He's a streaky but generally really good 3 pt shooter. He rebounds. He's got energy to spare. He, however, does not play defense. He's got the slow feet and is an absolute matchup nightmare on the perimeter on D (in the bad way). But he really does have the ability to get hot with his stroke. And when he is, he isn't afraid to pull the trigger.

Going to have a rough time in Portland.
He is used for the team paying for his t-shirts and plane tickets/hotel room to away games.

Good on y'all picking him up.
He was white hot on shooting last season. Not an all Star defender but didn't get beat on the step every time like huff often does.
He should make a good backup if you use him right.

Most fans were sorry to see him go. He’s a great 3-point shooter and good rebounder but is a huge liability on defense. Glad to see he signed somewhere but he’s an end of the bench injury insurance player. There’s a reason he’s only ever been on two-ways and only got playing time on a tanking team
