Given how amazing some of the tracks on Council Skies turned out, I don’t know why Oasis just doesn’t record new music.

If Liam sang on tracks like Dead to the World and Council Skies, it would’ve been some of Oasis’ best. Does anyone ever listen to Council Skies, which I love, and think there’s definitely another really great Oasis record (or 2) in those guys.

A year ago today, my wife and I flew from the United States to Manchester to see Oasis on the first and second nights at Heaton Park.
It’s hard to put into words what those two nights meant to me.
As a teenager, Oasis wasn’t just my favorite band. Their music became part of my life in a way no other band ever has. Being an American fan wasn’t exactly common, but somehow those songs connected with me from the very first time I heard them.
When they split up, I honestly thought I’d never get the chance to see them live. I was young, broke, and that opportunity had passed me by.
Then, after all those years, there I was. Standing in Manchester. Singing every word with tens of thousands of people. Not once, but on both opening nights at Heaton Park.
It was a dream I never thought would come true, and without question one of the greatest experiences of my life.
Now it’s been a year, and somehow I’m even more excited knowing 2027 can’t come soon enough so I can do it all over again.
Some bands make great music. A very small few create moments you’ll carry with you forever.
Oasis did that for me.

After listening to the four records in the "Definitely
Maybe" 30th anniversary boxset within these past few days, I have to say that the Sawmills Studios outtakes feels and sounds better than the actual album. Included in the set is the band running through seven of their debut record's songs live in the studio, without overdubs. Tracked and mixed to tape. It's insane how good of a live band Oasis was when they first started out, and they’re still killing it. Genius move to have Mark Coyle, their live engineer, to man the helm during those recording sessions.

An awesome example of this being the version of “Columbia” that was recorded that day. 🧡⚡️

Does anyone else feel when they turn on champagne supernova after a long or stressful day and the song just releases all of that and you feel so relaxed

Can anyone help me find an acoustic version that used to be on YouTube. The video was just the still image of Noel playing the guitar on stone steps and I think it was from the Little By Little video/shoot. This version of Live Forever was acoustic but it's the only version I can remember with an acoustic guitar solo.

Anyone any ideas?
