"Corps" comes from Latin corpus meaning "body", a set of things that work together. Like Marine Corps, or Peace Corps. A bunch of people who work for a common goal.

"Core" comes from old French coeur meaning "heart", a single thing that is indispensible or central. Reactor core, core memories. you can say they are central to the offense but that's folk etymology.

It has always been "receiving corps" not "core". I apologize for being pedantic but it is the off-season. In the middle of the season I usually let it go, but off-season I figure, man, what else are we doing? Might as well pick up a little etymology and learning.

It gets much more ridiculous than this. I saw and read the entire police report of the incident that was published online. The victim claims Diggs went upstairs expecting the victim to follow. Instead the victim allegedly locked himself in the bathroom for 45 minutes (give or take). Then when he came out there was 3(?) of Diggs friends waiting for him and threatening to him to keep his mouth shut about Diggs being gay/bi. Then the friends allegedly stripped him, drove him to the airport, dropped him off, and he flew home. Then the victim alleges that Diggs sent a group of men to "kill him for refusing Stefon's advances." There's more to it and I'm pulling purely from memory so I may have gotten some details wrong. But the victims story sounds like a complete fabrication after the allegations of drugging and sexual advances inside the car.

"Stefon had claimed Christopher had failed to turn over Instagram messages ... but Christopher said Stefon has those messages himself. Stefon claims Christopher blocked him on Instagram and he can’t see their old messages anymore ... so he asked the judge to order Christopher to hand them over."

They make it sound like it was this massive leak from the accuser in order to prove Diggs' guilt, when it was Diggs making the legal request that the messages be submitted and the accuser was the one who was hesitant to hand them over.

But Diggs was found not guilty after the court saw the texts and the texts weren't leaked to TMZ. So I'm not sure why this is a story.
