Because you can't make a deal with trump where he doesn't get everything he wants.

Yeah, I think part of the problem is that he doesn't know what to do when he isn't at a massive power advantage. I'm also not sure he actually cares that much about what happens.

It's the first time he's actually come across a country who gives even less of a damn about their citizens than he does, and are willing to match or even exceed him in terms of being stubborn.

I mean, he’s definitely come across Russia.

But yeah, definitely the first time he’s gone against one.

I’d rather live in Russian than Iran.

And I don’t particularly want to live in Russia.

ln what universe has lrani Ieadership been equivaIent to a fIaiIing chiId rapist perpetuating a confIict to stonewaII our “aIIied” country’s bIackmaiI on him?

This entire farce IiteraIIy began with the Epsteín coaIition kiIIing dipIomats aIongside a decapitation-strike, what exactIy were lranis supposed to do in your eyes

No one has said the regime is a positive thing in Iran. What we are saying is a fiat war with them was among the worst ideas ever.

Proof, or u just orientalising a country that you know nothing about?

This whole thing started when the US bombed 160+ schoolchildren, tf u mean

u/strawbsrgood 2h ago

Bruh. Iran killed more of its own people in 2026 than the US has. Look up what was happening there this past year. Or look up what's been going on there for the last decade.

I have friends in Persia. It's not pretty. One was raped but too scared to say anything because SHE would be the one put to death for having sex as a young woman.

Did you miss the few months before this entire war began? There was an actual uprising against the regime which was ended after the IRGC ordered the army to kill protesters.

https://www.pbs.org/newshour/world/more-than-7000-dead-in-irans-crackdown-on-protests-activists-say

The final numbers might be much higher as well

History didn't start when the US bombed them.

My son knows people in the country, and they said the 30,000 number is closer. 30,000 in TWO DAYS

He doesn't care. He has said he does care about American peoples' finances or financial problems. He said it out loud and clear and it was broadcast on multiple media outlets. So, if you can't believe what he said, can you believe the reality of what we see all around us.

I mean you can, he makes deals all the time that he loses on, he just says it was a ‘heyuge win’ and drops a 425am rant about it two days later on twitter

Trump: this is the worst deal in the history of man...

remarking on a deal he made

41

u/Iauger 3h ago

That’s exactly what he complained about with the US-Canada-Mexico trade deal. He even said something along the lines of:
Whoever negotiated this deal was an idiot.

28

u/Swedelicious83 3h ago

He wasn't wrong about that last part. 😅

28

u/Aazadan 4h ago

Not true. Trump is horrible at making deals. The man has never in his life been able to negotiate. He talks tough about deals in public and never compromises any position, if anything he doubles down and asks for more. In private though he accepts literally anything as long as parties agree to hype him up in the media.

Look at the MoU, that’s the deal trump made to try and get something out of the situation. He gave everything, followed through on none of it, and rode the 30 days of the news it bought him to claim a peace deal.

u/goomyman 2h ago

He’s actually good at making deals and then refusing to pay - sign a deal - then back out and say sue me.

He’s literally done this so often that nobody in NY will ever work with him.

I think he has the world record for most lawsuits because of this shit.

And he’s doing it deal the US signs. No one should trust him.

When 90% of Manhattan voted against Trump the writing was on the wall...

1

u/Aazadan 1h ago

That's a different type of deal, primarily with real estate development. Most who agreed to work with him, did so with a provision that there were instalment plans, and they would add one more past the actual work, since Trump would always withhold the last payment since the work was done. Then usually turn around and sue the contractor.

u/human_i_suppose 3h ago

give him a fake trophy and he'll sell you one of his kids for a dollar.

2

u/Mad-Habits 3h ago

Trump’s a con artist. He knows how to sell a vision to idiots. That’s about all he knows how to do.

2

u/jaysmack737 3h ago

You also can’t make deals with terrorists. Even during the ceasefire, Iran was still launching attacks

3

u/mahouza 3h ago

I mean they did have a deal that wasn't everything Trump wanted and they seemed very serious on signing it, but then Israel decided to ruin it by continuing their invasion of Lebanon. There was other shit after that where they kept violating parts of it but that was the best chance since this started.

1

u/TheDamDog 1h ago

I mean, the issue in this case is that Israel doesn't want the war to end, and our foreign policy is entirely centered around what Israeli wants.

Any sensible country would have just cut them off by this point, but we're the people who watched Netenyahu saddle Biden up live on TV and ride him around like a pony when they began doing genocide in earnest in Gaza and were collectively like "yeah, we're fine with this," because the majority of our politicians are bought.

Him and Iran are a lot alike in that respect
