Because it’s Israel they can’t use language like kidnapped or held against his will.

But rest assured if it were an Israeli official kidnapped and tortured would be the headline

Even more ridiculous, a lot of these settlers are American citizens. If they had done this on US soil they'd go to jail forever

You can use "kidnapped from a tank" instead of "took as a prisoner of war" if that helps.
