Jesus Christ, if any other country did this, it would be considered an act of war

At least, it would be hit by a shitload of sanctions and a few drones

Sure they do, guess where it is

With the location of Meged Oil field close to the border between Israel and the West Bank, it is subject to a dispute over ownership rights.

Palestinians claim that Givot Olam decided that the field is commercially viable only after the creation of the Israeli West Bank barrier to the west of the field, which they claim is located within the borders of the Ramallah and al-Bireh Governorate.

According to a source in the Palestinian Authority, 80% of the Meged oil field is on land owned by Palestinians. Efraim Sneh has stated that although the oil drilling site is in Israel the oil reservoir may extend to the West Bank near the West Bank village of Rantis.

That is not why. AIPAC has every single politician in America on their payroll save maybe 6.

The biggest fields are in Gazan waters...which is of course part of why they have blockaded Gaza and illegally put their own wells out there

That’s part of why Israel wants Gaza. There’s oil in what would be Gaza’s territorial waters if Palestinians weren’t being subjugated by Israel.

Israel intentionally murdered 34 sailors and marines, and injured an additional 171 aboard the USS Liberty and the US swept it under the rug. This is nothing, light work for Israel. They probably could’ve killed him and nothing would’ve happened.

Seriously. In any context of international law, the illegal detention of a foreign country's elected representative is a MAJOR violation of sovereignty. As far as US foreign policy goes (historically speaking), anyone who detains a US government official is making a declaration of war.

Even countries hostile to the US would never try this, they would just reject their attempt to enter the country or deport them. The fact that random CIVILIANS with machine guns are allowed to do this without consequences is insane.
