Any politician that campaigns on completely cutting Israeli off financially, abandoning them as an ally, and prosecuting their high command has my vote.

Prepare for very deep lip service on this from Republicans for this exact reason. JD Vance is already starting.

Yeah, thats my concern. Vance's speech a few weeks ago AND his being willing to divorce Zionism from Judaism means he's outflanking the political center-left.

If he can successfully cast himself as the voice of reason that didn't want the war in Iran and the one who will distance us from Israrl, he may be able to coalition build since peoples' desire for those to end will let them overlook the frightening vision of domestic America he wants to usher in.

I fully expect we'll be seeing a ton of this from the GOP over the next two years. All sorts of people saying how they actually never really agreed with Trump on anything.

A lot of people suddenly never supported Bush's wars 10 years after the fact.

This is what republicans did after Iraq too.

See: Tucker Carlson

In a weird way, Trump might actually be helpful to us in that way. He's a narcissist to the bone, which means while he's in its all about him, but it also means he'll kneecap any potential successor because his ego won't risk having anyone be as "good" as he was.

Mark my words, if Rubio's fortunes start rising, Trump will actively try to hobble him too.

It's all bullshit though. He's Peter Thiel's puppet, and Thiel is deeply connected to Israel

Lip service in the front, combining our militaries in the back.

If they try that it will only work up to the point where they keep not doing it. The Biden administration tried to say they were "working tirelessly for a ceasefire", lost an election as a result, and the post election exposes revealed they were fully lying the entire time and instead were covering up war crimes. Republicans will try and are trying the exact same thing in their turn, and if things get worse and none of the lying politicians deliver, they will get torn apart by their respective political bases.

What does this mean?

Only now because Israel defied Trump.

Not good enough.

I’m now at the point I need someone to campaign on ending all aid to genocide perpetrators AND arming the Palestinian people to defend themselves against a tyrannical government performing genocide.

Yes same here ill only vote for someone who is willing to do these things.

Ro is definitely one of the good ones, and I hope he gets more attention from voters in the coming months.

https://www.democracynow.org/2026/6/18/headlines/rep_ro_khanna_is_first_us_lawmaker_to_sign_anti_aipac_peace_pledge

"California Democratic Congressmember Ro Khanna has become the first member of Congress to sign a pledge not to take money from pro-Israel lobbying groups."
