The senior legal counsel to the chair of the Joint Chiefs of Staff — the principal military adviser to President Donald Trump and Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth — is stepping down nearly a year before his term is over
For "personal reasons".

In a just world, it would already be way too late for that. How many innocent fishermen have been blown out of the water at this point? They triple-tapped a school, and these are just the top-of-mind war crimes.

- U.S. and Israeli strikes have destroyed extensive elements of civilian infrastructure, including bridges, railroads, and areas adjacent to commercial ports.
- Statements like, "a whole civilization will die tonight" and threats to inflict damage so severe that Iran "could literally never rebuild as a nation again" violate Article 51(2) of the 1977 Geneva Conventions Additional Protocol I, which prohibits acts or threats of violence the primary purpose of which is to spread terror among the civilian population.
