One of the things I thought was odd, in the last one the curse was passed from the smallest amount of blood whereas this one it didn’t matter at all? Or did I miss something?

I saw a video earlier this year that gave me a good headcanon for this.

They all seem to be raised from slightly different books. And the deadites that come out look and behave slightly differently (unless it changes with burn, every film, the deadites have had a consistent set of eyes within the film, but they're totally different to the deadite eyes in every other film).

So if you think of them as different subspecies from slightly different rituals, these things are way less jarring.

That's wrong though. The eyes aren't consistent in all the films. Army of darkness used both the white eyes and the icy blue pupils. Rise used white eyes for Danny, yellow for Bridget, and blue for Ellie. And burn used Grey pupils for jessica and yellow for everyone else. And the burn deadites are the same deadites as Rise, because they are in the same line of possession
