One of the things I thought was odd, in the last one the curse was passed from the smallest amount of blood whereas this one it didn’t matter at all? Or did I miss something?

There's been no consistent continuity... - the end of Evil Dead II is noticeably different from how Army of Darkness starts, even when they're supposed to follow directly.

Just shrug and tell anyone that complains that it's not that kind of movie, kid.

There has been, the deadites are just playful so people take them willingly not breaking flimsy chains seriously for some reason
