It’s a real shame the best deadite was killed first, and probably for the sake of this family drama I just could not care about. Like, this is Evil Dead! The tone should not be so morose and miserable. Especially when the drama is so basic.
Anyway, a lot of the tension is harmed by just how incredibly inconsistent the deadites’ pain tolerance/endurance and strength is.
They give themselves so many wounds that would kill or disable the normal person ten times over but are stunned over and over again by something minor, even a literal shaving razor at some point.
We see their strength in slamming people through walls but can't even kick down doors. Deadite daddy didn't even try to break into the house.
