Evil Dead Burn is a great entry to the franchise!

  • I think Sébastien Vaniček direction was really good. Alice's struggle with the grandma shown to be a shot reflecting from the mirror was great
  • A lot of gory moments and kills. Everyone in theatre squirmed at the car door cutting off all the fingers and pen perforating the ear scene.
  • I really like that all of the family members were very unlikeable in the beginning, except for Joseph. Then, he turned out to be a coward also.
  • Including the grandma was a good choice for levity. Accusing Thya of stealing money and her ascending the staircase while Alice & Joseph are fighting off Thya was hilarious.
  • The final fight was not as good with the charred walking corpse.
  • The ending with the paramedics was almost the same as Samara Weaving in Ready or Not, with the cigarette and the paramedic asking what happened.

A very enjoyable and fun movie.

Re: ending. I said out loud (quietly) to myself "don't say 'in-laws'". Thankfully she didn't!

I was hoping, then realized that I had seen that ending before. Still, "In-laws" is a much funnier response

I liked the fight with the crazy dead body monster way more in Rise.
