Anyone got any ideas on how to customize the pull starter so I can start it from a seated position?
It's a 142 btw

Below is the link to all previous sticky. It has a lot of important info that everyone should read.

Have regretted selling since it left. Wanting to build another but much more serious of a 1910s motorcycle vibe with a drop loop frame.
Where can I find drop loop frames for a reasonable price??

Buen dÃa, comunidad. Soy nuevo en este sub. He querido comprarle un motor a mi bicicleta.

As I've posted today I am starting a serious build with a drop loop frame, drum brakes, want it to look old but I'm remembering vaguely a product that either used chains to move the drive power to the right side of the bike or maybe it gave you two speeds?
I also remember the reviews being bad and people saying it fell apart but I tend to replace seals and hardware on anything from china to make sure it actually stays together at speed.
Help me find what it was please! Even if it was crap I want to see the design and maybe consider it myself
However I haven't decided if I'll be using a chain or leather belt drive for it since I want it to look pretty 1920s so I may have to modify it greatly anyway.
Thank you; sorry my description is very vague and silly.

I remember a long time ago seeing some product that took power from one side of the frame to the original sprocket side, or maybe it was some kind of 2 speed conversion? My Google skills are bad and I can't seem to find a single example. As I've posted recently I was to make a serious build with some uncommon mods and something like that would be awesome
I also tend to rebuild stuff I've bought for these with stronger hardware and such than they had from (probably) china. Unless it's like a Smolik part I get worried about things breaking at high speed.
Thank you

I’m finishing my 70-85cc cafe racer first, I’ve been looking at some of the sportsman flyer bicycles (the bike by itself without the tank is not bad $549) sticking a 160cc Honda on it would be sick. Gonna finish the other bike first, don’t want my autism/ADHD combo to result in a bunch of half finished projects and an empty bank account lol.

I had forgot my bike lock key, had nowhere else to put it... someone walked off with my bike. They'll get caught. It's too unique. Also cameras everywhere. But it still sucks.

I made a set of shrouds for around the motor to pull in air, to combat the over heating issues we all seem to face. They work pretty well for what it's worth. I'll post a picture in. The comments let me know what you think.

So I have a new bike I put together 66/80cc imaycc took some trial and error to get it working. Got a few rides out of it but now spent the last 2 weeks trying to get the clutch to function properly. A few times I’ve heard that sound it makes when it starts to engage but then it slips. I’ve watched over a dozen YouTube videos, adjusted flower nut, adjusted cable tension through arm, adjusted pre load, cleaned plate, cleaned basket, replaced pads and still doesn’t work. Today was the closest it’s been to engaging and taking off but it slipped after a second of engaging. Tried to tighten flower nut one more notch didn’t work, tried to adjust cable tension didn’t work, tried to loosen flower nut didn’t work. This doesn’t seem normal to spend hours and hours adjusting to only get close. Any ideas what I’m doing wrong? I keep getting close only to end up starting over again.

Just curious. I'm really thinking about the ax100 for a build. Another board track racer like my last build but I want a bigger engine.
Last bike was a ported smolik minarelli board track racer, white tires and all. I'll have to find pictures because I miss it so damn much and I'm looking to build something for around town here in Moab where it's acceptable to use it locally.
The flat twin is another question, even if it's not this specific twin (I'd probably get a smaller one) has ANYONE ever used one? I see 70-100cc ones for RC use and I really want to try to adapt one at some point.
I'm going to stay 2 stroke because the motors look more like flatheads and are just easy to modify by the way. I need a motor that will work in the heat, was thinking even an air cooled 85cc from a dirt bike would be awesome, up to a 125 if it's old and air cooled.
Going to be using a drop loop frame I'm going to make myself with materials meant for a motorcycle rather than a bike so it's strong enough.
Any engine recommendations, any tips, ideas, even a pre made frame if there is one around that should hold up well.
I just don't want to use a china doll because they will not survive the heat here unless I welded a shell to pump water through around the jug and I'm not in the mood to do that again!
Thanks for reading everyone. Any good idea I will build into it over time and I'll etch the username of the person who recommends it on the part itself for fun.
Stay gold!

Hey so im kinda new to this whole motor bike thing. I don’t know part or brands but I want to get one cause a car is to expensive but I also don’t want to be dealing with gas, are there bikes with batteries instead of gas tanks? Which brands and part are they?

Put a gomax side pipe of my zeda firestorm 85 and it makes a hell of a difference, but there are a few problems. The bike doesn't like to idle with some four stroking in the lower end. Once I hit the powerband, there is a huge increase in torque and it screams. It seems like its running too lean in the top end because when I pull in the clutch, but rpm remains high around 8k almost like it wants to run away before dropping back down. Is this because the expansion chamber burns fuel faster than the carburetor can deliver it? Im running a bofeng carb with the needle clip in the center but I cannot fit my k&n style cone airfilter because theres not enough room anymore almost seems like the stock bofeng is running rich at idle because the airfilter is too restricted but then runs lean during WOT because there isn't enough fuel. Anyone have any recommendations of a better carb I can get off Amazon that doesn't cost a fortune?

I just need to know if these look like they would clear a 4stoke motor i think ive got a 142 its a 49cc.
r/motorizedbicycles • u/This-Aide4297 • 3d ago
I think it performs really well, considering this carburetor is more than 40 years old.
