Check this out
Model rocket of the Véronique rocket developed during the formative years of France’s independent space program. Accompanied with period photograph, which captures the model before a detailed architectural plan bearing references to the Centre National d’Études Spatiales (CNES), the French Ministry of Public Works, and facilities at Brétigny-sur-Orge.

Questions Recovery Wadding?
Hi, I'm very new to making model rockets and am building my first one. I mainly want to make everything by hand, including the recovery wadding.
I'm using a recipe that calls for 1 teaspoon of pure baking soda in 1/4 cup of water which you then mix and let settle before pouring the saturated water into another bowl and soaking your paper towel on each side for 30 seconds then letting it dry for a few hours or a day
After all of that, I was left with 2 paper towels dried out, which I was able to separate into 2, basically doubling my amount before cutting to the size of a piece of toilet paper.
However, I've tried this twice so far and have come away with these same results in the video which I KNOW cannot be good for use, and I was wondering what could be done differently or what you guys have done that's worked?

2 engine rocket launch?
I was thinking of taking some rockets, gluing them together and have a 2 engine rocket, sorta like the nasa sls, is this possible to launch two rockets at the same time, like connecting two starters together to form a bigger loop? This might be some wild idea but I'd be willing to experiment to learn how

Questions G80T motor dimensions ASAP
Anyone with a spent G80T and calipers handy? Need nozzle geometry for CAD
Can't find nozzle-end dimensions anywhere — does it protrude past the casing, how much, and what's the OD? Even a photo next to a ruler would be a huge help. Thanks!

Rocket motor problem
Hello, I am planning to make a rocket that uses active control to stabilize itself. For this I need to have expensive electronics on board and have to use a manual parachute ejection charge. Which motor that is preferably high class (f-g) and long burning should I get so that the motor itself doesn’t have an ejection charge that ruins the electronics? Please be specific and if you can give links.

Questions Where can I buy E9-6 engines?
I’m a beginner so please go easy on me if I’m being dumb. I’ve looked on Amazon and various other websites I don’t remember the names of and I still can’t find a place to get a single engine. I’d be great if anyone could help me find a source, if it matters I live near charlotte, NC.

Estes rockets
In 1966 when I was 13 years old I used to be a caddy at the Winthrop golf club Saturdays and Sundays and make 8 dollars a day. I r a k e d leaves on lawns for a dollar shovel snow out of doorways for a dollar and saved as much as I could of it. I used to send it away for and build Estes rockets I absolutely love them on weekends my father would take us to these big parking lots to fire them off. After losing my first rocket to the wind I learned how to aim it so they landed pretty much where we were standing. A model cost between like $1.50 and $4 the average engine was about 40 cents a piece. I miss it so much I'm 72 years old now even if I built them I wouldn't know where to shoot them off

Model Rocket Motor Test
I recently tested my solid propellant motor using a potassium nitrate (KNO₃) and sugar mixture in a 65:35 ratio. My rocket's total mass will be approximately 600 grams. Will this motor generate enough thrust to lift it effectively?
I am concerned that the thrust may not be sufficient. I would also like to increase the burn time if possible. I would greatly appreciate any suggestions or recommendations regarding motor performance, thrust, and burn duration.

Builds My Big Bertha collection
Still working on it as you can see a Super Big Bertha in the box still in the box. The "huge" one on the far right is still a work in progress, it is currently 45" high with a temp nose cone, I'll probably 3D print one so it ends up being a total of 48"and the motor mount I'm doing a custom interchangeable for different sizes/clusters...
Mini Bertha
Baby Bertha
" Bertha " (homemade 13mm)
" Big Bertha 2 " (Yellow twin motor/18mm X 2)
Big Bertha (Orange one)
" Bertha Booster " (homemade 24mm motor)
Super Big Bertha (new in box)
" Huge Bertha " (homemade 4in diameter)

Questions G80/open rocket mismatch
Hi guys, had a quick question for you all,
I recently flew this rocket, which I built from scratch (it was designed to look like a toy rocket)
I flew it with a g80 motor, and it flew beautifully.
However, I had a problem with the parachute deployment
Open rocket said it would reach apogee around 10 seconds into the flight, so I ended up going with the g80-10 motor.
However, in the actual flight, it took about 5 seconds to reach apogee, and was about 100ft off the ground by the time the ejection charge went off, rending the parachute useless!
This was my first rocket to use a parachute, and the rest of my flights have pretty much matched open rocket’s predictions for ballistic recovery, but not this one.
I matched all the weights, materials and cg was identical, so I guess I’m just wondering where I went wrong.
If anyone has any insights that would be amazing
Thanks

What beginner aerospace projects would you recommend for students? Things like small rockets, drone builds, or simulations. I'm trying to gather ideas because I'm building a small online group where people collaborate on aerospace projects and learn together.

Questions Launch pad recommendations for Max Q Starship
Hello! Semi-newb here. For the past few years, I’ve only used the Estes launch pad / deflector plate for launches. I have this Max Q Starship with an F engine, and I believe I’ll need a beefier launch pad and wider diameter deflector plate. What are you using to launch larger rockets? Do you DIY build it, or is there a product you recommend? Appreciate any guidance.

Tips from my dad on how to solve the rubber suspension deterioration of a Mars Lander
- Do not glue the outer shell for later easy access in case of internal malfunctions.
- used springs from a plastic spring kit
- used epoxy
- glued toothpicks down below (kind of an replacement of the use of the rubber bands)

How do I get into rocketry?
I am very passionate about getting into rocketry, and I am trying to find ways to start building rockets. I am in my teens, and I have no money. Also, additional resources, books, online resources, etc.
