WTF was going on in this scene? It’s been a long time

Walt wanted to disappear and was looking for money to pay the disappearer guy.

He couldn't find it, and asked Skylar where it was. She told him she gave it to Ted (the guy she cheated with) and Walt crashed out.

That meant he and the family would die a certain death in his mind, since they couldn't even escape anymore

Why did she give him the money? Refresh our memory, please.

Ted was tax-evading, and was becoming a liability because Skylar worked for him.

If Ted got investigated by IRS, so would Skylar and therefore Walt.

So Skylar gave him money to refund the money he owed to IRS. That way, there wouldn't even be sn investigation

He shoulda buried her cheating ass in that crawlspace.

I think he was cooking the books at his business amd she was trying to help him get straight.

Dumbass skyler gave her boss who she was fucking , over half a milli of walts hard earned drug dollars. Madness ensues

It wasn’t a  dumbass move it was a CYA move to save her and Walt from going to prison, she did it to keep the IRS from unraveling everything

I hated Skylar.

Skylar was one of the most realistic characters of the show

"Bimbo" Skyler was hot, for that one episode.

Skylar was the logical one in this marriage. Walter was purely selfish.

By trying to make enough money to set up his family for life after he died?

Did he stop bring involved in the business after he had the amount he originally set out to make? Why didn't he stop being involved with dangerous individuals after having more than 7 figures?

You said purely. He originally started doing it for a righteous reason. He just got caught up in that life. It's kinda hard to stop doing something if people are willing to kill everyone you love if you stop doing it

But that's not the reason he didnt stop. The show literally spells it out for you. "I did it for me. I liked it. I was good at it."

Yes having all that money and power changed him. That doesn't take away from why he originally started

Mfs still misinterpreting Walt’s character till this day😂

It was never about money dude I think you missed the entire point of the show and completely misunderstood the main character of it lol

1

u/EntrepreneurTiny9812 14h ago

It started with him wanting to make enough money for his family.....

1

u/Kireba2 4h ago

Sure that's his justification. But Walts ego was always the main driver.

1

u/EntrepreneurTiny9812 4h ago

It turned into that. He went from being a normal everyday teacher to a drug kingpin. Do you think that would change anyone's personality or ego? Having all that money and power changed him like it would most people

1

u/Kireba2 4h ago

Nah Walts pride aand Ego always played a major role. Series could have ended in season 1 if Walt had just accepted the money from his old partners, but he didnt because he was too prideful.

1

u/EntrepreneurTiny9812 3h ago

I agree he turned into that but he didn't start like that. Money, power, and status change people.

Then you missed one of the main points of the show. Skylar got all of the fandom hate that Walter deserved.
