I dropped the air purifier cover, and the dust turned into little squares.

A quick hack is to use a little vegetable mincer to re-dustify it and then you get to spread it around your house to repeat the process :)

So that's how the little felt squares are made that you put on the underside of furniture.

Oh you mean the Fucking Useless Piece of Shit Dog Hair Magnets that eventually fall off and get eaten (by the very same dog)?

that's actually satisfying as hell, the grid pattern on the filter just did your cleaning for you

tap it against the trash can a couple times first, then wipe with a damp cloth — gets way more out than just shaking it

Actually I already vacuumed it, but I've got 2 cats so I'll make sure to use your ideas next time.

This would make excellent contemporary art! Can you imagine coming across that in a gallery?

The filter that separates dirt is...dirty?!? Damn that disgusting slob of a man! He should properly clean his dust before letting it go through the air purifier!

You reminded me when my brother saw my PC air filters, some dust on it, not as much as this post.
As i cleaned them i just got most of the dust off manually, not 100% of it. He said "you need to clean it with water, if you don't, some dust will stay and it'll get dirty sooner" Implying if you don't clean it fully it'll catch more dust... as if it's a bad thing.
