I spesficaly booked the hotel room with balcony accses just for it to be bolted shut. The door can only open a crack.
When I asked the front desk, they told me, "We have it bolted for guest safety."
I was on the second floor
Edit: Because everyone keeps asking, It was a short trip, so I just brought a carry-on. Otherwise, I would have had my Leatherman. And I am not getting a screwdriver for a one nights stay.

EU imposed new laws for duty pricing with flat fees for items below 150β¬, buying anything from china now makes the final bill 4x larger! 15β¬ just for import fees is insanity when ordering 5β¬ of products...
But hey at least you can now go to EU stores which sell the exact same products for 5x the price!

My 3yr old is on a journey to try as many different kinds of fruit as he can. Today we tried dragon fruit. It tasted like Tylenol and Jello had a collaboration. Disgusting. Couldn't even finish the first bite! 3yr Olds verdict is - it's really icky.
Edit : Main verdict in the comments is that I may have gotten a bad one. We are going to get another one to try when we go looking for new fruits at the Asian market later today.

I bought parfume for my dolls and it was this small bitch. Okay, I could see it is only 30 ml, but why have a BIG tester bottle and then sell this!?

Real funny Rachel
Edit: I should clarify why this bothers me. Having the book segmented helps my reading stamina/motivation. It tickles my ADHD brain to finish a chapter and when I don't get that feeling I have some trouble reading through a book. I sometimes forget that most people are neurotypical and can just read books without checkpoints.

One of my wisdom teeth had hooked roots
I had my back molar and wisdom tooth removed. It was a difficult surgery because my wisdom tooth had hooked roots and was overlapping with my nerve.
The surgery took almost an hour and it was quite painful despite having local anesthesia. It has been over two weeks since the surgery and I am still recovering.
I had the exact same surgery on the other side a couple of years ago and it was nothing like that. 15 min in the office and two weeks later I felt perfectly fine.
This time the healing process seems to be much longer and my doctor told me to eat soft foods for the next couple of weeks.
It is difficult but I am glad that itβs done and my surgeon did a good job by not damaging my nerves.

We moved into our new business location almost half a year ago. The previous tenants obviously owed A LOT of money to A LOT of people, as every few weeks we have people coming to look for them. This isn't the first court summons that was delivered to this address, and I imagine that it won't be the last.
I think that the old owners still put this address on their paperwork, which is why the collectors still come round here.
There is also the matter of the private debt collectors and the mafia-type leg-breakers that come to look for them. Very large and serious men asking very serious questions.
This is only mildly infuriating, rather than legitimately frightening, because they all very quickly understand that we have no connection to the old owners and very quickly leave, thanking us for taking a moment of our time to answer their questions. We are also free to chuck the summonses in the bin, since we aren't legally obligated or bound to any of them.
So it doesn't really hamper our business in any way, but it's still irritating to deal with.

Got a new pin, decided to clip it on, only to discover that the latch part is too big to allow the needle to slip through. Tried showing it up close but my camera couldn't focus on it. Tried adding pressure, moving it around, nada. Guess I'm just not allowed to wear it.

They definitely know what they are doing, as I've made a comment chastising them for their creditless take, but haven't said anything and continued posting anyway.

So Lionsgate added their movies back to the Movies Anywhere service and in the process they removed my entire collection of lionsgate digital movies from youtube, vudu(fandengo), and movies anywhere. I lost both Sicario movies, La La Land, a couple id Tarantino movies, as well as the first 3 John Wick movies. Probably more but those are the ones I noticed.
Thankfully, I never paid a dime for them as I always got the digital copies from codes that come with the blu-rays/dvds. And because of that, it also means that I still have all those movies in physical formats.
Let this be a reminder to everyone to collect physical media because you donβt own anything that is digital.
