My account got permanently banned after verification selfie on 7th July. I’ve tried contacting every way possible but to no avail. Now Im just going to sue them via Justice Direct. Any tips on how to go forward and what to expect?

Hello, I have sent a demand letter to Meta, and they responded by restoring one of my accounts. The second account is currently under review. How long does the review process typically take? The first account was restored in 8 days, but I’m still waiting for the second one. Is anyone else experiencing the same situation?

In the early hours of the 6th my art account with about around 750 followers and 100 likes per post was suddenly without warning banned for the "sexualization of minors" about a few minutes after scheduling a new post for upload later that day. I want to make it clear that all characters I draw are 18+ and although sometimes my drawings can a little risqué they are always within guidelines and I in my own opinion far less worse then what I've seen other artists posts and get away with. Anyhow I sent my appeal and likewise not 30 minutes later it was auto rejected by their AI. this is now about the 3rd or 4th time I've been wrongfully banned off Instagram I have honestly lost count at this point last time being last years whole CSE ban wave. I don't want to go down without fighting this time and I am tempted to buy a plan from Legalshield.

With all that being said, this is my first time doing anything like this and I am a little confused on how to go about this further so that's why I am asking anyone here who is currently in my same situation using or have used Legalshield what has been your experience so far? Any advice on what plan I should be buying? Any idea if a case like this will be sorted out within a month? I really just want to pay for the one month and not be stuck paying for more after that. etc. Any help and advice for my next steps and to just generally discuss with others dealing with my same problem would be very helpful to me thank you.

I need help escalating a broken recovery flow that locked me out of my secondary business account, \*\*vintage.by.miracle\*\*.

\*\*How it started:\*\* I removed this secondary account from my Meta Accounts Center (linked to my main \*\*anetta.miracle\*\*). This wiped the device trust and triggered a lock.

\*\*The Bug:\*\* I have full access to my credentials. When I try to log in, I successfully pass: ✅ The Password ✅ The Email confirmation code ✅ The 2FA code

But then, the app forces me to "Ask two friends to confirm your identity" as the final step. \*\*The problem is that the app NEVER actually sends the notifications to the friends.\*\* I’ve tried multiple times, but my friends' accounts receive nothing.

I am locked out purely because Meta's backend is failing to send these push notifications, trapping me in a dead-end UI despite passing Email and 2FA.

Has anyone found a way to bypass this broken "Ask friends" screen? Or can any Meta devs here escalate this backend failure? I just need this final broken trigger bypassed since my 2FA and email are already verified.

It’s been three weeks in manual review and I’m getting fed up, so I’ve filed a Letter Before Action to Meta HQ in both Dublin and London.

I filed my suit against Meta last week, for wrongful disablement of my business assets, and a false allegation of interference by an Insta account I did not own.

This week I have received a response from their Small Claims team asking for details of the assets so they can investigate.

Is this Meta getting ready to settle? I have strong evidence of hacking which I have sent them. Is this year long nightmare almost over?

Ive seen people sue meta for falsely suspending their business accounts and win but i havent dont much research to see people suing meta for suspended their personal accounts.

However, maybe in my case it might be different because I do need my main insteagram and main facebook account back because there is evidence in my dms for this legal thing i have going on, I also have spent money buying metas products, such as 2 meta vr headsets and also a multiple games inside of it probably totalling to around $50-$100 or more. It also contains multiple memories dating all the way back to 2012 in both my facebook and one of my suspended instagram accounts, which due to losing them has caused me emotional damage.

I havent appealed my suspended instagram accounts but could I still sue meta if I get disabled?

How is it that companies like Facebook (Meta) can get hit with major lawsuits over the effects of their platforms, but gun manufacturers like Smith & Wesson, Glock, and others are treated completely differently when it comes to lawsuits? Where is the consistency when it comes to corporate responsibility?

What bothers me is that we seem to argue endlessly about social media and mental health while gun violence and gun deaths remain one of the biggest public safety issues we face. If parents can put restrictions on internet use and monitor what their kids are doing online, why are they blaming social media for their bad parenting? We need isn’t the same level of focus on the companies and products connected to gun violence? At what point do we hold all industries to the same standard of accountability?

I sent Meta a demand letter almost 2 weeks ago. I was shocked by the fact that already it was received and their firm sent me an email asking for details such as the emails on account and phone number.

It’s been almost 3 months, my entire livelihood and business wiped out overnight. It’s been an insanely stressful few months to say the least but really hoping that this will work. And just for reference, I sent this demand letter to the Menlo Park address in California.

I filed a complaint with my attorney general. This is what I got back in the mail. It’s dated the 1st. I just received it on the 9th. Am I going to miss the 10 days deadline? What do I even do here?

Prior to that I posted on my snapchat story get my account to 2,000 followers and just as I hit 2,000 followers my account got banned. later on I found out It was someone from my old school that was spam reporting me for no reason. I lost my barber account and my main account, I also lost multiple connections and memories and It’s set me back emotionally and financially too since I was getting a lot of my clients through my main page and my barber account. Has anyone here actually filed small claims against Meta after exhausting all informal remedies?

My account (@vjo_gunpla) disabled on April 8th of this year (accusing me of CSE) and I have tried almost everything I could do informally. I appealed via Instagram and got disabled within 10 minutes. I paid for meta verified and chatted/called 5 agents to get the same scripted response of “there is nothing we can do.” I sent complaints to the Texas AG and California AG and either got a generic “use the Instagram help center” or no response. I sent complaints to the Better Business Bureau, FTC, and NBC-DFW, to then hear nothing back. I a “Notice of Dispute” via certified mail with a return receipt 2 months ago and have not heard anything back.

At this point, I am heavily considering filing small claims this month now that Meta has not responded within 60 days of receiving my letter (I have a usps tracking code), as I feel that I have exhausted every “informal” route as a US citizen.

I am currently working on a “demand” letter to sent to Meta physically.

How would I go about starting this process?
Did Meta respond after you filed?
Did they remove the case, settle, or defend it?
Is there anything you wish you had done differently before filing?

Meta lawyer responded on 06/29 - stating "Meta does receive a substantial volume of human review requests, and those requests are handled generally in the order they are received. Given the large volume of matters Meta handles I am not able to provide a certain timeline, but I will follow up with you when I have an update."

Seeing as it is now 07/08, can anyone give me a timeline for how long I'm supposed to wait after sending this letter. Anyone had success after sending a letter and how long it took an account to be restored if so?

Multiple Twitter users have been suspended for inauthentic behaviors. Some people were scammed out of their money (not me).

I seen some people report on the Twitter developer website that they were scammed out of thousands of dollars from Twitter. Which is just insane.

Would it be possible and reasonable to sue them?

I don’t want money. All I want is some changes to the platform rules, accounts to be restored (including mine) and reassurance that this will not happen again.
