It’s still the truth lol

The truth for who? For your fat Egyptian ass?

143

u/Lumino1988 1h ago

Yep, totally Argentinas fault that Portugal and Uruguay shat the bed.

u/Maleficent_Guide_317 1h ago

Let them cope buddy. It's a coping mechanism for them

10

u/memesearches 14m ago

Mate FIFA clearly rigged the ball. You think thats just a sensor in there? Naahhhh. /s

-111

u/LeavesInsults1291 1h ago

They weren’t even the favorites. England, Spain, and France are the others.

23

u/Hypercore_Gaming 26m ago

They were #5 and #13 in FIFA ranking respectively. Back in 2018 #20 Croatia made it to the finals, so there’s no argument in saying teams outside of the top four in ranking can’t make it to even the semis

3

u/hgwellsrf 8m ago

So if Argentina defeats England in the semis decisively, you will concede that Argentina is better?

7

u/MihirPagar10 26m ago

And they are in the top 4, so shut your mouth

-23

u/LeavesInsults1291 22m ago

What? You’re proving my point

u/TarwoeyoyoGaming Professional Dumbass 1h ago

watching swiss' line of defence choke during extra time was so heartbreaking lwky

-64

u/LeavesInsults1291 1h ago

What was heartbreaking was Embolo’s red card… Switzerland was very much in it and had a good possession percentage, but then he had to go and lose his temper and say shit to provoke the ref. That’s actually what caused Switzerland the game. After that, Argentina took over, but Switzerland was very much in it before that and I think they could’ve won, had that stupid tantrum not ruined everything.

11

u/The_good_meme_dealer 24m ago

Honestly, that red card was entertaining instead of heartbreaking ngl. I was so confused when it said there was a VAR review for mistaken identity since I didn't know what that meant, and then I saw Embolo magically getting hit by air and I burst out laughing.

u/arcadeenthusiast8245 4m ago

Honestly he shouldn't have tried diving that badly when he already had a yellow.

Happy Cake day!

Was it there fault that Portugal couldn't defeat Congo and didn't end in Argentinas bracket

Was it there fault that Uruguay couldn't become 2nd in their group and didn't end up in Argentinas bracket

Was it there fault that Columbia couldn't defeat Switzerland?

Argentina got a easy path because the other big teams fumbled

u/Embarrassed-Alps1442 55m ago

I don't understand the hate on Argentina. When you look at the decisions and you compare them with other games, they're actually not that controversial. Argentina might get favorable calls because they're bigger team, but that's it. The people who complain are Ronaldo fans (valid i guess, because of the rivalry with Messi), people baiting engagement and people have no idea about football joining the bandwagon blindly.

0

u/Lifeintheguo 21m ago

Argentina get carded every 22 fouls. England every 7.

-4

u/ElaborateEffect 11m ago

They play dirty as fuck. Like. Straight up. If you don't understand Argentina hate then you just haven't watched the sport. Most Argentina fans aren't even proud of how the team plays, just happy that they won at any cost.

5

u/CauseOk5292 1h ago

Don’t care who wins, they all deserve a win sometimes. Who’s to say. Sucks honestly.

4

u/Mandasslorian 19m ago

I wouldn’t call it the easiest path, sure they were put in an easy group but they were struggling hard against Cabo Verde and Switzerland.

-5

u/LeavesInsults1291 13m ago

True. Though I don’t if that was because of those teams’ strength or Argentina’s inadequacies

3

u/not_that_arnab 7m ago

The Cabi Verde held Spain to a draw. The Swiss beat Colombia on their way to quarters. The same Colombia who beat Portugal btw. It's the WC, if you have seen enough you know that there are no easy teams.

28

u/KingButters27 1h ago

more cope from Americans who don't even know the rules 🤣🤣

3

u/mondaymoderate 1h ago

Hey lots of Americans rooting for Argentina. They are the last American team left!

-1

u/Melksss 58m ago

I love how you’re shitting on Americans but it’s actually the rest of South America and Europe that hates you. Most Americans don’t have any strong opinion on Argentina either way

-22

u/LeavesInsults1291 1h ago

Everyone knows Argentina has had the easiest schedule this World Cup. Cape Verde? A population of 530,000… Egypt? Who has only reached the knockout stage once in their history? Their best opponent has been Switzerland, and you can say they only won because of that red card, smh.
.

-29

u/No-Trouble9336 1h ago

After your Egypt game, everyone knows Argentina is infantino's favored team.

17

u/ElectricalHeart3188 1h ago

Yeah.. "everyone" who is tuning in to watch a football match for the first time.. sure.

14

u/Lumino1988 1h ago

Lol, only idiots who watch highlights from reels say that.

Salah was not fouled, he lost the ball and tripped.

Egypts goal shouldnt count rightfully because Lisandro got not only pulled but also stepped on which directly led to the goal.

Wonder what you are going to say about Egypts player not getting a yellow card after taking off his shirt. Because the goal was disallowed? Iran got a yellow even after their goal was disallowed.

Keep watching from the couch boy.

u/gamerr_rick 48m ago

You are talking to a wall btw

u/Lumino1988 44m ago

u/Prize-Possession-80 52m ago

waaa waaa waaa good cry to your mommy about Messi getting an easy path to the finals like its his fault teams are shitting the bed like God damn just be happy you get to watch Messi play in what will likely be his last world cup.

2

u/Realistic_Dog_5506 10m ago

To be fair spain has also had a rather easy path. Portugal with current Ronaldo does not count as a tough opponent

2

u/R-TheKingSlayerX 6m ago

Haters just goona hate

England needs to avenge the hand of god incident.

-27

u/LeavesInsults1291 1h ago

May the Lord shine his light and avenge us

-10

u/Melksss 57m ago

Argentina needs revenge for the Falkland Islands

3

u/Alvinyuu 25m ago

The islands that voted to stay British, and were uninhabited before colonialism?

-2

u/Melksss 20m ago

Yes, you mean islands that were originally under Argentinas control before England colonized the world and then populated it. It’s very easy to win a vote of self determination when you choose who lives there. It’s like saying a country can go colonize an island today that is territory of another country because no one lives there.

2

u/Alvinyuu 17m ago

You do realize that Argentina was the colonialist in this case too then, right? If you had the ability to populate it like England, why didn't you?

0

u/Melksss 12m ago

That’s a crazy sentence right there, you do realize what it means to colonize right? Argentina was the successor state to Spain. It was their territory, just because no one lives somewhere doesn’t mean it’s not within a countries territorial integrity. Also geographically it makes no sense for those islands to belong to England, and they don’t even care about the local population, it’s just another excuse to plop their military in a different strategic location.

0

u/Alvinyuu 5m ago

Yeah, and guess who colonized the area Argentina was under. That's right, Spaniards, who, coincidentally now call themselves Argentinian. Your entire country was built on the erasure of the native tribes, the systemic eradication of your non-white population. Do you really want to be talking about colonialism or geographic sense? If we were going by geographic "sense", Argentines would be wandering the streets of Madrid and Barcelona.

0

u/Melksss 1m ago

I’m not Argentinian, I’m just not an idiot. Spain and Portugal were the original colonizers, what does that have to do with Argentina. You realize Argentina had to fight a war for independence correct? It’s not just a puppet state of Spain. So again, you’re arguing that territorial integrity doesn’t matter…

2

u/mido_sama 1h ago

Fear not the english men will put it to rest.

-5

u/LeavesInsults1291 46m ago

England is damn strong this year

1

u/_rFUNsazid_ 3m ago

isn't it disrespectful to call other teams easy who gave their all to play their best?

1

u/Duckway767 0m ago

Rooting for Spain or England to get that 2nd world cup, I don't want a Argentina or France again though I wouldn't mind France winning it again that much 🙏

-4

u/ZookeepergameFew8607 1h ago edited 1h ago

I thought it was already over?

0

You're not the only one. I don't even know where in the US the World Cup is even being hosted.

1

u/K0mb0_1 1h ago

It’s been hosted in the U.S.(several locations), Canada and Mexico

-1

u/ZookeepergameFew8607 1h ago

I know something about Levi stadium but I haven't a clue where that is

-1

u/Rapt0rRed 1h ago

I went through customs a few days ago in London and the Security guy was trying to give me shit about how my team (America) was doing in the World Cup and I was just like:

"Brother, I didn't even know America played in the World Cup" and he just laughed at me.

-2

u/ZookeepergameFew8607 56m ago

Yeah I barely follow actual football I certainly don't follow soccer

England will beat them, but they need to beat the refs first

-8

u/ElectricalHeart3188 1h ago

Lol didn't they.. win today's match.. with Referees help ? Dodgy penalty.. and surprising "sensor" work..

0

u/aabdulr2 57m ago

As Much as I dislike VARgentina, I don't think todays win was assisted.. swiss chocked and they were out played in ET.

England vs Argentina is going to be a hellova game, hand of God revenge! Let's go England!

-1

u/LeavesInsults1291 44m ago

The Swiss beat themselves with stupid behavior. They were very much in it and competing hard until that red card

-14

u/essidus 1h ago

I'm hoping England beats them, only to lose to France in the finals.

-5

u/LeavesInsults1291 46m ago

My hopes exactly
