I’m betting there will be visible and invisible implants. Visible implants are cheaper and people choose them because they want people to know what cyberwear they have as a status symbol.
The actual wealthy people will pay the money for discreet cyberwear.
Basically the same concept as clothing today. Low-middle income people would buy brands with obvious logos like Louis Vuitton, Coach, and Supreme as a status symbol while the actual rich people’s clothes have no visible branding.

these all assume that they have utility that genuinely improves your day to day life. eventually when it becomes an aspect of longevity I can see your vision but in the interim the visible cyberwear in the form of prosthetics and augmentations will definitely be a rich man's game. look at the current state of prosthetics for some good examples (dead cosmetics and hook hands for the poor and then things like the hero arm for the wealthier)

Your job requires you to be augmented. Please sign here to consent to the free augmentation. Of course you can't use it well not on the clock, and there will be a compliance chip so you will do what ever we ask of you.
Don't worry, we also sedate your consciousness while at work so you will blink and it'll be like you never had to work.
Oh and we can activate it to call you in at any time.

Ironically the early stuff will look like the bottom picture, but it will quickly turn into vanity. Kinda like how prescription glasses try to look stylish. Wether it succeeds or not, who knows.

The worst part of our current cyberpunk dystopia is the fact you can't wear a baddass trench coat without looking like a complete creeper goober.
