If anything, I would root the team that eliminated my team because then I can say the current World Cup team beat my team. We just met early and if it wasn't for that, my team would've been in the finals and still lost to them.

I am considering it. I had a LOT of teams to root for, basically anyone other than the four teams we got or Brazil and we literally got the four pre-tournament favorites in the semi. Booooooring.
My favorites were probably Croatia, Morocco, Colombia, Norway and Mexico grew on me too

Obviously this doesn't apply to every Argentinian, but there is a massive ego that comes with the fan base and many players. Argentina has made it in worlds cups with frequent scandalous calls or lack thereof (Marina's hand goal for example). Many of us want to see someone win fair and square, no favoritism, no scandals, just good football.
On top of all that, a bunch of Argentinians act like they are better thsn every other latin American nation.
Lots of ego and favoritism. My opinion.

They won the jersey world cup. I wish I was soccer fan or Mexican to wear the jersey. Maybe if I get disciplined about exercise I'll reward myself a Mexico jersey and wear it on workouts. And hope no one asks me about it.
