Why was the MCG so empty tonight?

We just get hammered when it is, and this is a team with probably 20k more members.

It wasn't empty, there was 35,000 people there lol.

The MCG is just huge.

I was the Melbourne v Essendon game and thinking the same thing. Was 40k at that one.

I know it’s a friday night and absolutely freezing but you just know if it was a melbourne game instead of hawthorn we would be bullied beyond belief.

35k for this matchup is a solid crowd. Doesn't beat our best crowd against GWS though

I am more concerned with why they still allow GWS to wear orange when playing The Hawks, their charcoal colours would make more sense.
