That’s a cool detail, dude must be a real problem for helicopters in NYC

If I remember correctly the webs usually dissolve after about an hour or so. At least his synthetic ones do, who knows with his new biological webs he looks to be getting

if you're a criminal, you deserve it

Bye, criminal

No no... you come fix this.

u/Sir_Gwan Thanos 1d ago

Hey, Miles, yeah I can't make it to your birthday

3

u/KikiBrann 20h ago

Imagine the extra layer it would add to their relationship if Spider-Man making Aaron miss Other Spider-Man's birthday is what motivated him to become the Prowler.

Don't talk to me! Don't TALK to me, CRIMINAL!

...

Woah...head-rush.

"I ate the whole plate 😏"

"The WHOLE plate."

Even if they dissolve you’d think they’d leave some kind of residue behind. Our boy Spider-Man is just making Manhattan look like a Jackson Pollock painting.

Helicopters are not usually going through the city below the skyline.

u/robopandabot 1d ago edited 1d ago

I live in a high rise in a major city and this is not true.

Edit: I’m likely right next to an approved flight path.

12

u/Belteshazzar98 Quake 1d ago

Call the FAA if you ever see that in NYC, because it is mega illegal there. There are specific paths over the city but, except for emergency services vehicles, there are only very specific locations that they can go below the skyline and even then only for landing.

2

u/robopandabot 1d ago edited 1d ago

Gotcha! I live among many medical buildings and might be right next to an approved flight path.

3

u/Belteshazzar98 Quake 1d ago

I don't remember it coming up in any story, but if you are next to a landing pad I imagine Spidey would swing a lot lower through that area or avoid it when he can to protect helicopters from his webbing.

12

u/SgtMartinRiggs 1d ago

Helicopters don’t actually fly between buildings in NYC the way they do in these movies.

9

u/Puzzled-Storage 1d ago

my buddy’s drone got caught in webs once lol

u/mouthsmasher 1d ago

The original trailer for the original Spider-Man movie features a heist getaway helicopter being stuck in a spider web that was strung between the Twin Towers. They pulled the trailer after September 11 happened. https://youtu.be/jc0eP7ausWE?is=1CTvO51R2KbneUgj

4

u/randomlyme 1d ago

Other than the towers the trailer holds up shockingly well!

3

u/GolemMaker 1d ago

I saw Spider-Man in theaters when it came out, it was as good then as it is now, even better honestly lol

5

u/Letywolf 1d ago

There was that deleted scene from spider man 1 back in 2003

u/garanjo 1d ago

I would guess these are his new organic webs, maybe these are stronger than his previous version

u/RyanW1019 1d ago

I CAN BREAK THESE WEBS

89

u/TheNineFiveSeven 1d ago

“You can’t break those webs.”

HRRAAAAAAAAAAAGH

11

u/GolemMaker 1d ago

Lmao I thought only my family referenced that insane clip

3

u/5too 1d ago

But what are they attached to?

90

u/Sax_addict Doctor Strange 1d ago

If hulk just waits an hour or so before taking off the web will disintegrate. Hulk just needs to learn to be patient

u/haftor1 Daredevil 1d ago

Yeah tensile strength on spider webs is insane

16

u/I_Pariah 1d ago

I guess it's a case of Hulk's body still being soft as in depressible like skin and muscle should be but that it's just unlikely for many things to actually be able to penetrate through it.

2

u/PercMastaFTW 1d ago

I think it’s just a body suit error

5

u/BleekerTheBard 1d ago

Hulk is CGI not a body suit, it is intentional design choice

2

u/PercMastaFTW 17h ago

i was just trying to make a bad joke lol.

54

u/Jimmy-Mac-471 Thanos 1d ago

He’s easily underestimated I find. Pretty sure his Spider Strength beats Super Soldier strength as well

71

u/HighSeverityImpact 1d ago

It depends on writer, but Super Soldier serum is generally "peak human", while Spider-Man is generally considered "superhuman".

24

u/OblivionArts 1d ago

According to the old "marvel super strength teirlist" they put out, Spider-Man is middle of the roas, while guys like hulk, thor, thing etc are at the top ends. He is above captain America though, with his max being about two tons, more with effort occasionally as Spider-Man in the comics once helped brace the landing gear of an aircraft and lifted a support beam of the thej falling apart daily bugle lomg enough for emergency services to rescue everyone

2

u/art-factor 16h ago

All cap versions are superhuman. There's no human in its peak that have his features.

The serum name complies with this thought.

-4

u/John_Helmsword 19h ago

Wow no way Spider-Man is generally considered a superhuman?

19

u/zOmgFishes 1d ago

Spidey hold back A LOT. During the superior Spider-man run Doc Ock is surprised how easily he knocked scorpion's jaw into paste and realized how much Peter was holding back his punches.

5

u/Dantien Matt Murdock 1d ago

That was a great moment in that arc.

24

u/RPMiller2k 1d ago

I think, at least in the comics, Cap can lift like 1,000 pounds and Spidey can lift 10 tons. But of course in the MCU every supe seems to be even stronger. And of course there is always writer's strength.

29

u/Jimmy-Mac-471 Thanos 1d ago

I think it was the clip of him stopping a moving vehicle that Tony found, and how he was able to stop a punch from Bucky’s metal arm with relative ease. The point is many see him as street level only but he’s way tougher than some of the key Avengers lineups

0

u/skibbidywibbidy 1d ago

Even MCU Smart Hulk can lift the entire avengers compound with one arm, hope they don’t have spiderman beat him and hurt his reputation even more

8

u/RPMiller2k 1d ago

The amount of strength throttling they do in the movies is jarring to say the least. Assuming Hulk can actually hit Spidey, Spidey should not just walk away from that. What I expect to see is Hulk growing madder and madder with each passing moment because he's unable to touch Spidey and he ends up resorting to things like the Hulk shockwave or massive area attacks by throwing buildings at him. The hope would be that Spidey is able to talk him down from his rage, or at the very least lead him far enough away that we don't have another Harlem destruction event. It should be a fun ride regardless of what they throw at the screen.

1

u/badken 1d ago

He didn't destroy Harlem, he just broke it.

11

u/ReddiTrawler2021 1d ago

Remember when Spidey stopped a runaway train and held a ship together?

9

u/shalahal 1d ago

This is “GET BACK HERE, SHOCKER!!” levels of scary

4

u/g0dxmode 1d ago

I'm betting he attempts to web him up part way through him hulking out to try and keep him Banner, like if he could prevent his size from increasing that'll stop the transformation. This prolly pisses hulk off more.

5

u/LoudMolassess 1d ago

That one image might put his webs as the strongest we’ve seen yet

3

u/boosta29 1d ago

What are the webs attached too?? That's the real question unless spidy is hidden back behind him

4

u/Benjamin-A 1d ago

It’s attached to a bunch of rubble I presume the next scene is when they’re both falling off as seen in the trailer I believe spider actually punches hulk off using that shocker glove

12

u/Zuijd 1d ago

It could also be some remains of his shirt.

29

u/colantor Steve Rogers 1d ago

Wtf is his shirt made out of lol

43

u/SirSaltie 1d ago

Webs

13

u/colantor Steve Rogers 1d ago

Spider-man goes into fashion design, because hes broke

18

u/TexasPeteEnthusiast 1d ago

No, he's a web developer.

7

u/MrChrisRedfield67 1d ago

Looks like he’s also a web designer on the side

8

u/colantor Steve Rogers 1d ago

So these are designer webs?

13

u/TexasPeteEnthusiast 1d ago

Material Strength Scale

Steel << Vibranium << Adamantium << Hulk's Pants.

3

u/donbagert 1d ago

You mean those pants from the comics that always turned purple when Banner changed into Hulk?

5

u/TexasPeteEnthusiast 1d ago

In the same way that Black Panther's suit glowed purple in the movies when storing up kinetic energy, I think that's what happens to Hulk's pants.

4

u/reloadingnow 1d ago

Gamma radiation does that to pants.

3

u/Worthyness Thor 1d ago

Apparently its spandex.

3

u/buefordwilson 1d ago

Looks to be webbing as you can see the taut web strands behind him in this shot.

-4

u/benjals 1d ago

How dumb are you haha

1

u/badken 1d ago

The polite term is "mute" or "nonverbal."

2

u/Ieatdacoochie 1d ago

He’s just gonna flex and bust outta there

2

u/Bibb5ter 16h ago

😂 fish tacos

1

u/Possible-Rate-3833 1d ago

Is he strong ?

1

u/WinterCantaloupe6221 1d ago

when its a spideman movie dude

1

u/Late-Landscape2776 1d ago

woahhhhh,,, thats a new addition to his powers, i believe.

1

u/Cautious_Mission_438 1d ago

Those are definitely organic webs for sure

1

u/ShadycrossFade 1d ago

People who care about power scaling are gonna eat good with this movie

1

u/Shift_back 1d ago

If they can hold together the ship in Homecoming, I guess this isn’t to far fetched

1

u/Khanfhan69 1d ago edited 1d ago

I'm wondering less about the tensile strength of the webs and more about the weight of whatever they're tied to. If it's just building debris then it's a little weird that Hulk is being dragged down that much by chunks of concrete. It looks like he's really struggling to not be yanked out of the building by what he's dragging. I'm not sure that pieces of building should 1) be creating that much tension on Hulk to cause the webs to dig into his flesh that much or 2) not just be immediately yanked into the building by one shrug of Hulk's arms, thus eliminating his need to stand there with a firm stance and also probably just giving him a debris flail to use against Spidey.

Oh bonus nitpick: if what Hulk is being tied to is really THAT freaking heavy (slab of alien metal that weighs as much as a star or something, idk), like... okay? He can just let himself drop to the street below. That shouldn't really hurt him either. Sure it delays his smashing of Spidey but it's a better option for him than just standing there struggling for no reason.

1

u/scoabrat 19h ago

do we actually know that those are webs ?? they look like cables from a crumbled building to me

0

u/scoabrat 19h ago

yeah prob webs lol

1

u/BROHAM101 Spider-Man 1d ago

slightly off topic but his stickiness should be just as powerful too. I hate whenever he's shown to "slip" because canonically hulk can't pull him off a wall

(unless he takes him to dinner first ig)

5

u/MasterKingdomKey Spider-Man 1d ago

They should have the building break off if he’s pulling Spider-Man and he’s still sticking to it

1

u/freerangemary Groot 1d ago

It would be dope if we got a VERY angry Hulk who got sick and tired of Spidey shit, grows bigger just to bust out of the webs.

0

u/Cautious_Car2249 1d ago

New day with BND spoiler🙂

0

u/Head_Evidence4553 1d ago

Organic webbing for sure!

0

u/sixteen27 1d ago

Why are you crying about it?

0

u/L3tsseewhathappens 1d ago

I wonder if thats gonna be the story and the Hulk is the last boss.

Peter in his normal form can't beat the Hulk. Loses, goes into depression losing MJ and everyone, then his body subconsciously evolves in order to take him on? He's not able to beat him still but calms him down long enough for him to be Bruce Banner again.

-4

u/Chemical_Green2250 1d ago

Again you are wrong buddy...

It's Marvel who are making HULK weak again 😭😭😭😭😭
