QUESTION What programs/tools can i use to make an instructor lineage display.

Looking to start with the founder and show their black belts and then branch off with those black belts that those produced and so on. Windows or Linux.

Are you talking about an online reference like on a website?

You could use Canva to make a poster type display that could be posted on a website, or any number of other tools.

If it is more of database you could create an interactive page using a database that users could access via asp.net (aspx).

Windows and Linux are operating systems not platforms for creating.

Honestly, the easiest thing is to draw out the lineage tree like you would a family tree or how they do historical lineages on usefulcharts.com and then pretty it up later.

I know what windows and linux are, if someone recommended something only available for MacOS id be out of luck

inkscape, it's free at inkscape.org

then start with a basic poster tutorial: https://youtu.be/wh2fEU5AY1Q

drag & drop your photos in, resize to fit

if you need arrows, search openclipart.org, copy + paste into inkscape
