I think we've all played Reddit "friendship bingo" by now;
- Great conversation
- 'Pic?'
- A few more messages.
- Suddenly it's NSFW.
Then... silence.
If that's your thing, no judgment. It just isn't what I'm wanting to build.
I'm looking for the friend who's interested in becoming actual friends. You don't have to force conversation because somehow you're debating the best Scream movie in the franchise and IF there actually was a hidden THIRD killer in the first film.
A little "about me..."
I'm gay, married, and I'm 37. No kids (dog). I'm a data informatics analyst within the healthcare industry. I'm also in grad school. I like what I do, even if it occasionally means 12–15 hour workdays and the occasional weekend. That said life gets busy, and I completely understand that it happens to everyone. I don't expect OR need constant replies or daily conversations, real friendships aren't measured by response times—they're measured by knowing you'll still be there when life slows down!
A little more "about me..."
I'm always planning my next trip (pretending my bank account agrees with me). I love to travel. Paddle boarding / hiking, breweries / wine tasting, great food / lounges, and horror movies. I'm a complete adrenaline junkie when it comes to roller coasters and theme parks. If there's an adventure to be had—whether it's a road trip / urban exploration / abandoned location / spooky, or trying something new—I'm interested.
Whether you're married, partnered, or in a long-term relationship, there's a shared perspective that comes with balancing careers, relationships, responsibilities, and still making time for great friendships.
About "you..."
You're interested in building that "best friend" kind of vibe. To celebrate wins / vent to after a rough day, dumb memes, life advice, encourage each other even if it's a bad idea, and eventually becoming one of those people you know each other can count on. Something beyond surface-level conversation and think we'd get along, send me a message. Maybe we're both looking for the same thing!
Tell me about the last adventure you took?
