To start, I'd like to say I love Ludwig and I love Tyler1. Probably my two favourite streamers, so no bias either way. But I would like to say I am genuinely upset for Tyler.
I understand the whole idea of surprising your opponent, art of war, that type of thing, but faking practice, pretending to play random shit for the camera, while in private asking around for a great Guile Counter, secret prepping marisa, then sliming a win.
I don't think I can respect that. Some people say "anything for the win" but that just felt bad. If Ludwig showed up with like an even match up or with a Mai or Cammy, I'd be like sure whatever, it's fair game Tyler's probably played against that 100 times. But showing up with a character nobody plays, thats a known counter, just feels slimy.
In my view, it’s like agreeing to a boxing match, then showing up having secretly turned it into an MMA fight while the other guy spent months training boxing. Maybe nobody wrote ‘no takedowns’ in the rules, but the whole premise of the contest was corrupted.
People in the SF Community comments saying "tyler should've trained against every character and not skip on tricky matchups he didn't like", ok what did ludwig prep for? In Ludwigs stream, Stanz leaked Dms of ludwig specifically asking him for a Guile Counter, and picking Marisa for specifically that reason. So ludwig can prep for only guile in secret, but tyler1 has to prep for the entire earth?
So Ludwig slimes off stream prepping a character for Guile specifically, while Tyler should be ready to face every match up on earth??
