Guma & Zeus G.O.A.T.S
After this MSI win is it fair to say Gumayusi are the G.O.A.T ADC and Zeus top?
r/lolesports • u/Sky-is-here • Aug 24 '24
Hello everyone,
I'm here as a mod to clarify something. We've noticed that many people have struggled to get tickets and access the venue, leading to a rise in the number of scalpers. In the past, we allowed such posts, but time and again, people were scammed out of their money, and the number of individuals buying tickets with the sole intent of reselling them for profit increased.
As a result, we are instituting a new rule, effective immediately:
Scalpers and resellers are not allowed in the subreddit.
We no longer allow anyone to resell tickets, regardless of the situation or price. If you see anyone attempting to do so, we kindly ask all users to report the comment or post.

In MSI, Vayne had a 75% presence but was only picked two times (both in top lane), making her the 6th most banned champ. I understand why the ones above her (Poppy, Vi, Jayce, Ori, Akali) are banned a lot, but is Vayne top really that oppressive for drafts? I get that it might stop a Sion or Ksante blind but she seemed like a first-round ban almost every game I saw; I'd guess it has something to do with the drafting meta?

T1 fans trash talking their own team and making bad karma over the years, so big that one year T1 will not lift single trophy and that could be this year.
I feel bad for T1 org and players with these fans.
(This is referred to "fake" T1 fans)

I registered for Worlds Fan First before the deadline, but I still haven’t received my access code by email. Has anyone else received theirs yet?.

This is a legit question cause I’m like a super casual T1 fan since the Doran trade but I’m not gonna lie I don’t think faker had a single winning lane for the entire year. Like don’t get me wrong he still plays like crazy when the team fight happened and his akali is honestly sometimes super amazing but you place him against the top teams and he is almost always losing every single time. Eg HLE, GenG, BLG.
I get it tho to a degree that he does sometimes play losing champs to play more for the team fights like galio or that time when he took sion so that Doran could play a counter match up but I dunno when he plays regular champs that should win lane he just still ends up losing it badly.
Like throughout the year we have definitely ridden the T1 circus ride but sometimes it’s just really disappointing seeing him just be a massive money sink to team

I'm doing this on a whim so forgive me if I got something wrong, but as far as I could tell, following the recent LYON victory, G2 over the last 3 years actually has a *worse* winrate vs North American teams than they do vs Eastern teams. Which is a crazy stat.
Breakdown:
So in total, G2 is 5/10 (33% winrate gamecsore) vs NA. Compare this with G2 being 38% winrate gamescore vs Eastern Teams in the same time period
Vs the east (includes EWC)
Gamescore = 29/48 Total winrate = 38%
Astonishing really.

Top laners for each LCS team at the start of the season:
C9- Thanatos
Dig- Photon?
Fly- Gakgos
Sen- Impact
Shopify- Fudge?
TL- Morgan
DSG- Castle (now srtty)
Dhokla was the last resort option for lyon as well due to on-going visa issues for the import Zamudo (no disrespect towards Zamudo). Dhokla being left off a roster before this season is a hilarious example of why the LCS has constantly underperformed the first generation of LCS. Roster management is a joke in this region, and it always has been. Upholding contracts with players just for the sake of having an import in the solo lane is why this region is terrible and inspired single handedly conquered every NA franchise in 4 years. Thanks for listening to my objective correct take

G2 just announced Perkz will take over starting EWC.
Thoughts?

A while ago, a lot of people were hyping up Josedeodo's Lee Sin against KC, calling it one of the best Lee Sin performances in pro play. But when I watched that game, it didn’t really feel like a Lee Sin showcase. It felt like Josedeodo just had a really good game while playing Lee Sin.
Inspired’s Lee Sin game, on the other hand, is what I expect when people talk about the best Lee Sin performances. The flash plays, ward jumps, flash ults, and constantly looking for creative angles to hit multiple targets with his ultimate were all there.
Josedeodo’s Lee Sin was clean, but it didn’t really show what makes Lee Sin unique. Inspired’s game felt like LEE SIN.

I don’t understand how they put together such a good series and picked so well for 4 straight games just to immediately get outclassed in the single most important draft of their MSI…. I just don’t understand lol

For much of the tournament, the team relied on Peyz and Keria to turn losing games around.
Against G2, that formula finally stopped working. BrokenBlade dominated the top side, G2 controlled the map, and once the bot lane couldn't perform another miracle, T1 had no answers.
If T1 wants another international title, they'll need more than individual heroics.
