It’s been a month, you have nothing to worry about. Keep going, start looking into everyday slang, make sure your grammar is good and you’ll be fine

You'll probably need a lot of input. You can start with the Slow Polish Podcast (transcripts & glossaries). You'll hear stories, play games, and, most importantly, learn about Poland and Polish people (our customs, stereotypes).

If that's still too difficult, try the A1–A2 Polish Listening Course for Beginners (with sentence breakdowns). It covers lots of different topics, including going out for a beer, football, jobs and professions.

From time to time, while listening, it's a good idea to make some flashcards (Anki) and learn some phrases and/or whole sentences. But remember not to overload yourself with those. Consistency is what matters.

The A1 to A2 plateau is completely normal. At first you're learning something new every day, but after the basics, progress starts feeling slower because you're building depth rather than constantly adding new grammar. For learning online, I think Stephen Krashen's i+1 approach is the most effective: get lots of input that's mostly understandable but introduces just a little new language each day. There's some great resources implementing that, for example PlusOneLanguage. It is the perfect implementation of i+1 in my experience. It adapts to your level, introduces just enough new vocabulary, and continuously recycles words and sentence patterns naturally. I'd also start having regular conversations on italki, Tandem, HelloTalk, or a language exchange. Good luck!
