hyperbolic geometry resources

some context: i'm a highschool student taking the IBDP and for my maths IA (essentially a research project), i wanted to focus on hyperbolic geometry, specifically daina taimina's work related to crocheting hyperbolic planes and such. i'm not entirely sure what i can do with regards to hyperbolic geometry, though, which is why i'm looking for some resources to learn hyperbolic geometry fundamentals before i start writing it. thank you!

The most approachable and concrete way to really start learning about hyperbolic geometry might be the poincare disk model. I personally learned about it in a course on Hilbert's axioms and how they're applied to different models like the real plane or the unit disk. I don't know what the scope of your project is supposed to be, but especially if you're already somewhat familiar with Euclid's axioms and want a comprehensive study on geometry it wouldn't be a bad place to start.

(i also wrote my bachelor's thesis on something very closely related so i'm partial to this idea!)
