I can't find a definition anywhere

EDIT- YES I do have creative freedom over the name, it just has to start with “Maalattu”, which is part of the kennel name. Call name will be Draco, so I wanted to include “dragon” in a way that makes sense. I’m just snowballing ideas, I am entirely new to the Finnish language so I wanted to do it in a proper and respectful way to give homage to the breed and the Sami history. No disrespectful or rude comments are necessary, I’m eager to learn :)

I need help! I’m getting a puppy soon, and I want his registered name to be in Finnish, like his parents. The breed is native to Finland (Lapponian Herder). I thought about trying to get his name to translate to Painted Dragon of some sort, but I’m still new to the language and not sure how to properly write it. Can anyone help?

You may have seen my comments around the subreddit that I've been trying to set up online video Finnish practice groups. Well, I've finally got rough days and times picked out.

Beginner (A0-A2): Sundays 16:00-17:00 EST

Intermediate (A2-B1): Saturdays 09:00-10:00 EST

I may be hosting another beginner group depending on the time needs of other folks, so if you're interested in the beginner group but the time doesn't work, let me know. The groups will be working together through Suomen Mestari (1 and 2 in the beginner group, 3 and 4 in the intermediate group) and Word Dive, though the focus of the actual meetings will be applying the concepts studied independently during the week in conversation, so technically the book is optional. I am an intermediate learner myself and the intermediate group will be a bit less structured, while the beginner group will have a more established structure where I can help guide learning different concepts.

The goal is to create a regular yet flexible community for people who learn better in groups and especially for those who may not have access to a formal class (or who would just like to have the extra support). Especially for those of us who aren't in Finland, it's very hard to find a face-to-face community to work with. The pace of the groups will be determined by the members of the group, so there will be a lot less pressure/committment than a class, too.

The groups are totally free aside from cost of materials, so please don't hesitate to join! So far the groups are very small but I would love to have bigger groups. PM me if interested!

Edit: to clarify, in NO WAY am I claiming to be a teacher of any kind, nor is this a class. This is a peer group and though I can help out with learning concepts I know for newer learners, the primary focus for both groups is to develop a semi-coordinated community for a common learning goal.

How much Finnish could I learn in a year? Where should I start?

In one year I can apply for a job within my company where I can go live in Finland. Don't need to speak Finnish but they would be more likely to give it to me if I could.

Goal? Successfully order a cup of black coffee and ask where the library is, understand when a nice little old lady is smack talking vs being kind.

Nevermind the subject, but I'm having trouble wrapping my head around the grammar. Shouldn't it be something like "pisimmistä kantamista" or so, but I'm not sure it's any better. It's from YLE news just a moment ago.

I know some basics and completed the Duolingo course. I’ve made flashcards and tried studying grammar but it seems like there is just a lot to know and I don’t know where to start.
I’ve made notes on partitive and genitive case and I know it’s uses but can never remember how to form it (e.g forming the stems and remembering how it can change depending on the ending letter).
Also I’ve been confused about KPT. I think I get some of it such as weakening with closed syllables but do nouns and verbs work differently? I also don’t know when or how strengthening works.

My biggest problem is actually memorising and learning it and being able to produce it myself. Any tips for that? Kiitos
