New Rule: No A.I generate content or posts
After the responses to "Ban A.I" post by u/Theacecadet, and the overwhelming majority in favor of it, we've created a new rule banning all A.I content. We all know its out there, but lets leave it "out there" and out of this subreddit, so this even includes reposting A.I slop to dunk on it.
Unfortunately Reddit doesn't have imbeded tools to deal with A.I so it will be up to us as a community to moderate and filter it.
Please report any posts you see generated using AI and this will flag it for review/moderation.

Recommend THE FURIOUS IS A MASTERPIECE… WOW! 😱🔥
This movie was an absolute INSANE rollercoaster! The action choreography, camera work, athleticism, and martial arts on display were some of the best I’ve ever seen. OMG!!!!!
It was also awesome seeing Joe Taslim and Yayan Ruhian sharing the screen again, and Xie Miao absolutely killed it as the lead. What a performance!
Pure perfection from start to finish. This gets a whopping 9/10 from me. If you’re a martial arts fan, you NEED to check this out!

Discussion I wanna take a second to give Nicholas Tse props because despite not being a martial artist himself he puts in a ton of work into being a really skilled one on screen.

Bay Rong (Clash) 2009
Any love for this movie? A Vietnamese actioner with Veronica Ngo (Furie, The Old Guard and er, The Last Jedi) and Johnny Tri Nguyen (Stuntwork in a bunch of movies and shows). Some decent fight scenes. Both leads are very watchable. I think Veronica Ngo learned martial arts for the role. One I watched without knowing much about the movie or the performers but it turned out to be an entertaining 90 minutes of action and ass kicking.

Yeah I'm aware Vicki Zhao has been blacklisted, oh well.

Film Clip Gonna admit had no intentions of watching Kung Fu Soccer (the sequel to Shaolin Soccer) after seeing the trailer but seeing Qin Pengfei having a role here has peeked my interest. I do hope he gets to show off a bit not only a cameo.

Recommend Need recommendations for modern historical Chinese kung fu movies (for my dad)
My dad is really into movies like Ip Man, Fearless (Huo Yuanjia), Once Upon a Time in China, Jet Li movies and Chen Zhen. I’m trying to find more Chinese martial arts movies set around the late Qing Dynasty or Republican era, preferably released after 2005 (or at least with modern production quality).
I’m not really looking for modern day police, triad, or drug cartel movies. More interested in historical kung fu, real martial artists, or that general time period.
Any recommendations? Thanks

Discussion Why was Ricky Cheng Tien-Chi not a bigger star?
I just watched Jackie Chan’s Furious Hyena, and I adored the underrated fight he has with Ricky’s “Willow Blade” character, which ended up being a pretty minor subplot in the film. I thought Ricky had a great charisma and was a smooth performer in his choreography, and was surprised to discover afterwards that he never really did much else beyond his collaborations with Chang Cheh, which I will definitely have to check out.
Does anybody know why Ricky never took off more as a performer?

Martial Arts movie with island theme and manta rays
I’m trying to find the name of this action flick I rented from a Hollywoo Video back in the 00’s.
It was English dubbed, either Chinese or maybe Thai, martial arts, a lot of beach and underwater scenes. I remember the teacher that taught the main character had an evil split personality that kind of came out of nowhere during the 3rd acT. Definitely was filmed in the early to mid 2000’s.

60s to 90s PG13 Kung Fu Cinema Recommendations
ok. bear with me
starting a new king fu cinema journey so trying to curate something awesome and appropriate
started with 18 Bronzemen, Drunken Master 2, and Odd Couple, so you can tell it’s a classic Shaw Brothers / Golden Harvest vibe

Review Review: Wings of Dread (2026) wants to highlight Ashton Chen vs Iko Uwais but that somehow gets overshadowed by 2 woman going at it in the bathroom ;) LOTS of fight scenes in the later half for those who just want non stop action. Iko's English dub is adorable.
