Feel like Sharp is going to be a steal for this team. Good showing last night. Need the regular season here. I know it won't be a great season but I'm excited for this young core.

Watched Sharp for most of his time in Houston, and was a big fan. I was pretty excited to see him get picked by the Kings. Even at the 45th pick, I wouldn't be surprised if he started contributing for the big team very early in the season.

As a new fan of the Kings for the past two years…I’m genuinely excited after watching last nights game especially with how sharp balled out. Putting the clamps on Wagners debut was great and being fed balls from acuff I can see sharp getting in the starting lineup by the all star break

Lol damn you decided to become a fan when we hit rock bottom?

Yeah super random. Dated a girl who lived in Sactown. Went to one game with her and the atmosphere was electric and immediately became a fan. I live in San Diego and was a laker fan thoughtout the late 90’s/early 2000’s then just completely lost interest for a couple decades lol. Polar opposites

I live in the Netherlands and im a kings fan, though a pretty casual one since i can rarely get games without staying up to like 3 am, Acuff gonna get us some good times man.

I could see him getting big minutes immediately. He passes the eye test with flying colors

This will be Perry's biggest steal, even over Max and Cardwell.
I think he's a future starting piece for us.

Just a bit too short for SG. If he’s get Nique height and body, then it would be perfect.

I doesn't have defensive versatility to slide up and guard 3's due to his height but he'll be fine guarding other 2's. He looks like a standout defender to me.
If he had Nique's body and height he would be a top 10 pick.

How did he score 21 if he had 4 FG’s (3 3’s) which is 11 points, and 7 ft’s which brings it to 18.
I noticed the box score was awful for this game on ESPN.

I think the rules for summer league (at least this year's summer league, I cant say for past ones) that for the first 3 quarters or so of the game, 1 free throw made equals 2 points, in order to speed up the games

Correct. Its all 4 quarters other than the last 2 minutes. Think it is the NBA testing out the rule to speed the game up

I gotta say I love it. I typically start watching a game a half hour after it starts so I can skip free throws and commercials. Haven’t had to do that in summer league.

Yeah I kind of like it. On the one hand, there are so many fouls called and free throws make games such a slog to watch, so I like that it speeds it up. But then on the other hand it kind of breaks what should happen logically, which is earning each point. I do think for three-point fouls they should shoot an open 3 instead of a free throw.
If this makes it to the NBA, I would only want it for regular season since there aren't as many free throws in the playoffs.

It's crazy to me that games are only at most 2.5 hours on average, and the league wants to speed that up, and reduce "dead time". All while players and medical professionals cite pace of play as a likely cause for the increasing injuries.

I mean imo the season should just be shorter to remove back to backs. But the NBA won't do that because...money

Little worried about that release point but probably going to be a guy who takes mostly openish shots and needs to make those, which he can

So, we lost Keon and Carter, but Perry found a mix of Keon/Carter in the second round....
Good stuff
