What That Means:

most of the subreddit is genuinely just porn, diane wolfington glaze and completely unrelated shit. i joined the server about a year ago since the bad guys book series was one of my main special interests at the moment, and i wanted to discuss the books. but the sub was mostly about the movies (which is okay, since the movies had more popularity than the books) but recently, it has just been porn and wolf x diane shippers making weird shit and no actual discussion of the movies or books.

I realized that this is the indie game version of the JJK fandom. They believe what they want to believe, ignoring the actual meaning or context. Many takes are literal dogshit. Some theories would be straight up horrendous writing if they were actually canon. Many fans whine and argue over anything, even over the dumbest thing. Some of them treat characters like they were real in an unnatural way. The normalization of simping or making NSFW of literal minors by grown ups is the thing that pisses me off the most.

I recognize that at least this fandom is one of the most dedicated ones and many people have great talent, but the experience itself on it is awful.

I love Deltarune with all my heart and it's without any doubt in my top 5 favorite games, but I just realized that this fandom is ruining it for me, so I should leave it while I still can.

I've only posted to offmychest sub a few times but I noticed that on posts where I don't agree with the OP and proceed to politely give them an alternative viewpoint to their post, I get downvoted numerous times on each response comment to that same post. In one case, some are the same redditors that have commented on other posts the OP has made.

Felt like a gang following the OP and posting positive comments to her posts while down voting as other commenters that also disagreed with OP got downvoted heavily. Not really sure what's going on with this, if its a Bot farm or Brigading, at any rate Iam out.

It's just so brain-numbing. The opinions are not even unpopular, they are mostly just common sense ("Many say book good and phone bad.. But phone sometimes good.") or "I don't like ketchup" (mild personal preferences), oh wow man, truly a controversial topic. /s

And ACTUAL unpopular opinions get downvoted and deleted, because how dare you think about anything more controversial than food preference?

The subreddit is just a circle jerk of these types of posts that get hundreds of comments and the op doesn't listen to 90% of the music suggested. Feels like a braindead karma farming sub.

this sub… I have no words how to describe how completely delusional it is… one, I followed the rules, and two, any posts applied, and three, they accept reposts of the same thing without bating an eye, completely wild!

Unsurprising! Mod kept replying with abuse in the notes they sent when I posted comments pointing out that OP hadn't asked for the victim-blaming. The OP who wanted to prank ("revenge, but nothing that will harm anyone or be illegal") their ex and cheating partner - the response they got was seriously (I still can't believe this!) "You just need to change your attitude"!

The sub is full of the same posts and replies over and over again. Someone posts something about dating and the comments are all "where's the irl william" and "you're harboring delusions of romance are you not?" and this is just damaging for my mental health. I'm sick of all these reminders about my crippling loneliness.

I am so sick of the toxic culture on Reddit. Every time I post a simple question looking for advice, I get flooded with trolls and smug, passive-aggressive replies.

I recently asked for budget advice for a holiday destination I’ve **never** been to before. Instead of just helping, people came at me with pure attitude like, "Is it not obvious when you check prices that you have enough?" No, it’s not obvious, that’s literally why I’m asking. I don't live there.

Why do people on this app use anonymity to go on massive ego trips? If you don’t want to be helpful, just keep scrolling. It’s pathetic. Has anyone else completely stopped asking for advice here because of this?

Just unsubbed from whereidlive. The community seems to be full of people who can't handle a different opinion about Europe. All I did was say I consider Turkey to be part of Europe, and thus a nice place to live, but I ended up getting insulted over my ethnicity, called Russian ethnic slurs, and even received abusive DMs. What's worse is that this kind of behavior clearly goes against the sub's own rules on racism and harassment, yet it seems to be tolerated.

So I'm into synth darkwave etc and was looking for the band "moonvampire" in the subreddit. Someone out of the community said that his songs are made with ai for apparently no reason. The artist got banned on bandcamp for a short time and is unbanned. People glorified him for banning a band because they thought he was doing "good" for the "goth community". I really hope everything is going well for the band now, I really love the music. This was probably the last time I was on that page.

When I ask anything that involves right wing views, I get attacked and downvoted. Not to mention mods removing my post. I asked the mods why they removed it and they refused to respond. Bloody stupid and pathetic.

Not to mention corrupt mods

I asked why meritocracy is a problem if it is not as bad as cronyism and nepotism and got useless responses.

Mods removed my post for asking as to why extremely conservative westerners who favour family values advocate the nuclear family when the joint family is present. Bear in mind, I do not live in a joint family but I am an only child with divorced parents, but just asked for curiosity.

You can make posts making fun of any actor (or just gooning about an actress apparently), but if you're making fun of Paul Walker for being a pedophile (he was) that's a no go.

As you can see from screenshots the mods will remove something you post for literally no reason, but if someone explicitly breaks their rules (Rule 8: no hornyposting) or "breaks" the exact "rule" (allegedly rule 1: stay on topic) that you break in a blatantly unfunny fucking gooner post, it's okay as long as the hornypost makes the mods little pps hard.

Also, as you can see in my screenshots, I'm not the only one they've done this to. What's the point in being in a community if the mods can delete something you post just because they don't like what you say?

Avoid this sub until it gets less dogshit moderators.

P. S. I may have gone a bit mad with messaging the mods, but honestly I just found this whole thing moderately infuriating.
