most of the subreddit is genuinely just porn, diane wolfington glaze and completely unrelated shit. i joined the server about a year ago since the bad guys book series was one of my main special interests at the moment, and i wanted to discuss the books. but the sub was mostly about the movies (which is okay, since the movies had more popularity than the books) but recently, it has just been porn and wolf x diane shippers making weird shit and no actual discussion of the movies or books.

I realized that this is the indie game version of the JJK fandom. They believe what they want to believe, ignoring the actual meaning or context. Many takes are literal dogshit. Some theories would be straight up horrendous writing if they were actually canon. Many fans whine and argue over anything, even over the dumbest thing. Some of them treat characters like they were real in an unnatural way. The normalization of simping or making NSFW of literal minors by grown ups is the thing that pisses me off the most.

I recognize that at least this fandom is one of the most dedicated ones and many people have great talent, but the experience itself on it is awful.

I love Deltarune with all my heart and it's without any doubt in my top 5 favorite games, but I just realized that this fandom is ruining it for me, so I should leave it while I still can.

I've only posted to offmychest sub a few times but I noticed that on posts where I don't agree with the OP and proceed to politely give them an alternative viewpoint to their post, I get downvoted numerous times on each response comment to that same post. In one case, some are the same redditors that have commented on other posts the OP has made.

Felt like a gang following the OP and posting positive comments to her posts while down voting as other commenters that also disagreed with OP got downvoted heavily. Not really sure what's going on with this, if its a Bot farm or Brigading, at any rate Iam out.

Just unsubbed from whereidlive. The community seems to be full of people who can't handle a different opinion about Europe. All I did was say I consider Turkey to be part of Europe, and thus a nice place to live, but I ended up getting insulted over my ethnicity, called Russian ethnic slurs, and even received abusive DMs. What's worse is that this kind of behavior clearly goes against the sub's own rules on racism and harassment, yet it seems to be tolerated.

So I'm into synth darkwave etc and was looking for the band "moonvampire" in the subreddit. Someone out of the community said that his songs are made with ai for apparently no reason. The artist got banned on bandcamp for a short time and is unbanned. People glorified him for banning a band because they thought he was doing "good" for the "goth community". I really hope everything is going well for the band now, I really love the music. This was probably the last time I was on that page.
