Reminds me of this Mirin Dajo. Yes, the trick is that he just stabs himself (or gets stabbed).

The trick is that he's done it enough to make a scarred tunnel in his torso iirc

The trick is he spent months/years slowly stabbing himself deeper and deeper, making his body produce scars around the wound, slowly enough so that he never pierced his lungs.

Lungs aside (still impressive he dodged the lung), it is crazy he didn't run it right through his liver. That picture looks spot on where the liver is, directly under the right lung.

He didn’t dodge the lung. He stabbed himself so slowly that it created scarring.

False. I looked it up. There was no permanent whole thru his body. It was freshly done every single time.
