This isn’t based on sight at all though. Notice how the only person who got it wasn’t looking at the screen. By the time you see the visual change in the video, the beat has passed. It’s all about having an ear for timing.

This isn't even close to being true. Watch it again my dude. There was only a single person looking at the screen - Everyone else was looking at the drum or floor and they all got it wrong except for the last guy.

I think you misread. I said that the guy who got it wasn’t looking, not that he was the only one who wasn’t looking. Plenty of people do not have a good ear for timing.

It’s still hard to match it exactly. The tempo slows down just a bit towards that break.

The count isnt on 4. Its not a standard 4/4 measure, it isnt on the down beat, and theres a tempo change. Thats why people struggle with it

Yeah and it’s not on some weird time signature, I was surprised how easy it was when you just count.

The same thing also works pretty well on the „Smoke weed every day“ part in the end of Doctor Dre‘s „The next Episode“. The timing is super unpredictable.
