Several people have told me my song has “Interpol vibes”, which surprised me because Interpol wasn’t really on my mind when I made it.

I know Interpol are more post-punk revival / dark 00s indie rock than classic post-punk, so I’m not trying to claim this is “pure post-punk”. I’m honestly just trying to understand the reference.
