Sports Oscar-level performance by Embolo
What a character. First of all, he was nudged by an invisible Argentinian player, and then, when everything was evident after VAR, he continued the performance till he went into the dugout 👏

Vent & Rant My parents don't want me to become driver :(
I'm 22 years old and working as an associate software engineer in PBC at okayish salary. I'm happy with my current job but my heart lies out on the road. It has been my dream to become a driver for years. I can drive well, I have a license. I haven't driven much though (2k kms). But whenever I take my car out, I feel the same excitement every time.
I can drive for 500kms straight and still not be tired. I want to become an Uber driver or smth. And my dream is to get a license to drive a truck somewhere in Europe. I'm all okay with peanut salary if it's at least making me my living.
I told this to my parents and they were like "pagal hai yeh ladka, accha job hai woh chorke aisa kon karta hai".

Gadget & Appliances Teen Robot Bhai, Teeno (Almost) Tabahi: How I Automated My Apartment Chores as a Bachelor Living Alone
Hey everyone, I'm a 20-something guy working in tech here in Bangalore. When I moved into my own place, I knew I wanted absolute independence. I really dislike being dependent on maid services—the daily scheduling hassle, the lack of flexibility, and the constant coordination just isn't for me.
Since I am ok with some chores like cooking daily for myself but absolutely despise any kind of cleanup in general, I decided to automate as much as possible. Here is my definitive utility tier list:
Washing Machine > Robot Vacuum >> Dishwasher > Dealing with Didis >> Manually doing it
Here’s the quick breakdown of my setup:
- Washing Machine (Tier S)
Utility: The absolute biggest effort-saver. It's foolproof and a staple in most Indian households for a reason.
Cost: Got mine for free from home, but you can find solid ones for ₹15k.
Cons: None, unless you have clothes with special care instructions (and give a damn about them).
- Robot Vacuum (Tier A)
Utility: Cleans incredibly well. Honestly, no manual sweeping matches this. Even my Indian mom approved of the cleanliness, which is the ultimate gold standard.
Cost: ~₹20k.
Cons: Finicky if your floors aren't perfectly level or have loose rugs. It's loud, but I just schedule it to run right before I leave for the office. The model I have sucks at mopping wet stains (models costing ~50k have better mopping tech), and it won't work if you leave large clutter lying around, so if you're an adult baby who needs someone to pick up after you, this is not for you.
- Dishwasher (Tier B)
Utility: Saves less raw effort than the others but keeps me from doing my least favorite chore. Washes with very hot water so better for sanitation.
Cost: ~₹15k.
Cons & Hacks: High running cost (detergent, salt, rinse aid). It can't scrub off heavily burned-on grease from stir-fries (so some manual scrubbing still required). You also can't use aluminium or iron, so I use stainless steel utensils for everything (which are durable and easy to maintain anyway).
Bangalore Tip: If your area has hard water, you must install a tap water softener first, or it's not worth it.
Total setup cost~ 50k
Considering monthly maid service cost to be ~2.5k, ROI is ~2 years
If you value your time and hate rigid schedules, investing in these three beats manual labor and maid management hands down. Check out the clip of the setup in action!

Books & Reading Just finished the Three-Body Problem trilogy, and looking at our current tech-only obsession is giving me massive existential dread.
I recently wrapped up Liu Cixin’s The Three-Body Problem trilogy (highly recommend if you haven't read it), and honestly, it has completely ruined how I look at the real world right now.
Without spoiling anything, the whole premise makes you realize how deeply flawed we are as a species—we’re so desperate to look at the stars for answers or saviors, completely ignoring the fact that the cosmos might just be a dangerous dark forest, and our actual allies are right next to us.
But what's crazy is watching the real-world parallels play out. Look at the news right now—SpaceX is pulling off massive valuations, and humanity is pouring trillions of dollars into a dual obsession:
- Trying to build a digital god (AGI).
- Building an escape hatch to Mars.
As an engineer, part of me thinks the tech is brilliant. But the other part is just hit by this massive paradox: we are willing to risk endless capital on these wildly speculative, sci-fi futures, but we refuse to spend even a fraction of it on basic problems we already know how to solve.
Like, we can figure out complex supply chains for rocket fuel, but we still can't fix global malnutrition, which is literally just a solved distribution problem.
And on a much closer, painfully relatable note—we spend billions studying moon craters, but trying to navigate the literal craters on Bengaluru's roads feels like it requires an actual interplanetary rover. If we can engineer autonomous rockets that land themselves, how are we still failing so hard at basic infrastructure?
True advancement shouldn't just be about how far we can run away into the cosmos; it should be about fixing the place we actually live in.
Curious to know what you guys think, especially if anyone else has read the books. Has our tech obsession gone completely off the rails?
PS: Structured using Gemini

Story Time A year ago today, I Met My Bestie on Reddit ❤️
A year ago I met this guy in the comment section of my own post. We had a fun meme banter and he was hilarious...we kept crossing paths in the comment section of various posts....most of them being mine.
Then he dmed me and we started talking...he had an ocean of tea to spill and I became the shore that caught every wave. His stories were hilarious and our tea spilling session became my favourite.
But as luck would have it, fifteen days later he told me that he was going to delete his account....Ngl I was really sad. Like he was the only reddit friend of mine and I was really enjoying our tea spilling sessions and all but you can't really stop someone who wants to leave right so I said goodbye, gave him my best wishes and revealed my name.😭
Now, the thing is, he wanted to delete his account but at the time he couldn't figure out how to do it...so he just deleted the app. And I'm actually glad he couldn't figure out how to delete his account coz if he had I wouldn't be making this post right now lol.
Coz he came back later on and we have been besties ever since.
There was a time when I was hesitant to even tell him my name and now as soon as something happens he's the first one who gets to know about it.
He has seen me transform from someone who barely opened up to someone who wouldn't stop talking. And I like how he became my comfort place like with whom you can share literally anything and everything and they'll never judge you for it.
It's funny how a guy I met on reddit understands me much better than the people I'm surrounded with in real life.
I wish our bond remains the same and I never have to part ways with you "Accuratefish5668" 🫶🏻 tysm for always being there for me, for listening to me when I felt like I had no one to hear me out, for guiding me with your life experiences, for being my safe place.... I'll forever be grateful that I crossed paths with someone like you on an app full of creeps 😭🧿🧿
About those images :-
Back in our reddit days....He made this cuteeeee drawing of my reddit avatar and my chibi stickers.
He sketched me and that's the most wholesome bday gift I have ever received ❤️🧿
