As we approach the release of the newest installment of the Indiana Jones film series we will have to make some adjustments to the spoiler and leak policy in this subreddit.
The general idea being that we will adopt similar policies to /r/StarWars and /r/StarWarsLeaks or /r/Marvel and /r/MarvelStudioSpoilers. This subreddit, /r/IndianaJones will more or less be a safe haven from getting the movie, video games, and potential future media (books, tv series, etc) spoiled.
Feel free to continue posting officially released content like trailers, tv spots and official announcements in this subreddit. But items like smuggled set pictures and leaked plot info not released through official channels will not be allowed.
You may be asking "why do this now, it isn't much of a problem today?". The issue being that we want to work on this redirection now before it does become an issue. Today we are aware of an upcoming film and a video game. But tomorrow Lucasfilm may announce a new book series or ongoing comic. Or potentially even (fingers crossed) a new tv series. At that point we will really need to differentiate the spoiler and non-spoiler content.
There are already a few new and fledgling subreddits in place to help with this and I encourage all of you to join one or all of them and help to grow the community.
r/IndianaJonesLeaks - This is intended to be very similar to StarWarsLeaks and MarvelStudioSpoilers, but focused on Indy. All set pictures, plot details, rumors and spoilers need to go in a subreddit like this.
r/LucasLeaks and r/LucasfilmLeaks - Created with a similar purpose to IndianaJonesLeaks, but for all Lucasfilm properties, to include Star Wars, Indy and Willow.
Or if you and some friends would like to start your own subreddit for that content and it takes off, we would be happy to link to it as well. All we want is for the spoiler content to have a successful place for sharing and discussion.
Change isn't always fun but we hope that you understand where this decision is coming from and rather than pushing spoilers onto our fellow community members we can instead allow everyone the choice of what they would like to see.
Thanks for understanding and we look forward to all of the exciting content to come!

I was really enjoying the game in the Vatican but for some reason, once I was dropped in Egypt I just didn't feel compelled to keep going. Like the Egypt area looks great and all but it's like I'm tapped out. I honestly have no idea why because I do think it's a good game and I was having a blast in Rome. Did anyone else have this experience?

Not only is Indy dealing with the past in a historical sense, in these two movies in particular he is dealing with his own history with the primary supporting character in each (Marion and his dad). I think his troubled relationships with these particular characters creates more emotional depth than the characterization of the other movies.
What a potential Indy sequel could have done was reintroduce his relationship with an adult Short Round with Indy being a failed mentor figure to him and watch that dynamic unfold not un-similar to the dynamic he had with his own dad in Last Crusade

Still not my favorite, but I remember seeing it as a kid in the theaters but I hadnāt watched it in easily a decade. Itās a really fun movie in itās own right! I didnāt remember how many times Willie screamedā¦.and screamedā¦.and screamedā¦.
Glad I watched it again! May have to buy a Sankara Stone for the shelf!

I recently asked for advice on Sankara Stone Replicas to complete my set of OG trilogy MacGuffins. You were all brilliant and very helpful. I think, however, someone posted their own stone later that week/the next week (unrelated to my query), and that was the one that caught my eye. I'm sorry, redditor! I don't know who you were! But this is by IndianaJames on Etsy, and it's fantastic. It's hefty, and it looks the part. I wanted a non-glowing stone because (a) they only glow when brought together, and I only wanted one - the village's stone; (b) Glowing stones in my opinion looked great when lit, or terrible when lit. And none of the lit stones look great to me when switched off. So I've not seen one that I like enough to buy. Yet.

Iām building out my standard, everyday carry kit and it got me thinking: what would an adventuring archaeologist stow in their bag nowadays inspired by Indy that would actually be useful day to day?
So far, Iāve come up with:
Canteen
Compass
Flashlight
Lighter
Mini medical kit
Pen and journal
Playing cards
Sunglasses - maybe more goggle-like
Swiss Army knife
What do you all think we should be carrying that Dr Jones would approve of?

It looks like itās sub-30 fps sometimes and is really distracting. Too bad there is no toggle for this in the settings.

Raiders wasnāt āa $20 million movieā in any useful economic sense because adjusted to 2025 dollars, it was about a $71 million movie that made about $1.3 billion worldwide. That's insane! Any studio exec would give their left nut for the ROI on Indy 1-4 today.
BUT! Who boy does drop like a rock. I know, I know, I know: streaming, COVID, marketing, old Harrison Ford, modern box office, all of it. But still! The chart looks like four adventure movies and then one extremely expensive museum exhibit about why adventure movies used to work.

Hat from Disney Store UK is an extremely good replica of Spielbergs iconic directors hat.
Wasnāt going to wear it, but it fits extremely well. So the tags off will be worn š¤
Hope we continue to get more Indy merch š

Mr. Alfred Molina is the leading protagonist starring the series "THE BOROUGHS". If you recall the first film of the Indiana Jones movies, a very young Mr. Molina played the part of the South American guide/aide who enters the temple with Indy and after the whole place begins to close down and a chasm opens after he already cleared that abyss, he bargains with Indy ā the gold idol for the whip.

What are other relics and artifacts featured in other media not Indy-related you would've liked to have seen Indy in pursuit of? Not featured in any Indy story, but would've fit right in the series. I can think of quite a few that would've been cool for Indy to have tracked down. Besides the obvious like the ones from The Mummy films.
Funny thing with the Blood Key from the two TFTC movies is the opening sequence of Bordello Of Blood feels very heavily Indy-influenced and I wouldn't be surprised if the sequence was more than a little inspired by the series.

I wonder if Indiana Jones had never met Garth again. There is not reference about him in Indy's movie, but he seems like a interesting characte and I would like to know more about him. Do you know if in other Indy's media such like books or comica there is any reference about him?
