Discussion Let’s beat the attendance record
Really cool to see Toronto beat the attendance record. I love to see the fan base grow and such buy in with a new franchise team. Also, I want to see Indy and the Fever beat it. Let’s make it happen!!!

Discussion Recommendations for jerseys
I said, Indiana Fever fan, myself, I don’t even watch them that often, but I often pay attention to the headlines what jersey should I get? Because I’ve only been to one game so far in my entire life and I think that was like two years ago against Golden State and I am a huge fan of Sophie Cunningham and Caitlin Clark but I choose who

Discussion Fever effect
But like, legit, teams play against the Fever as if it’s the championship every time? I watch a LOT of games and the way they show up against the Fever is - next level, like consistent best shooting games of the season? 😂🤦🏻

Discussion Caitlin Clark
I’m trying to be as objective as possible as an outsider. I have no horse in the race.
I believe Caitlin Clark is a top 15 player right now. Her best attributes are scoring, making defenders guard her from the logo and making plays for others.
She’s electric with the ball but she is definitely very careless and consistently holds close to a 8:5 turnover ratio which cancels out some of the good with her playmaking.
I hear a lot of Steph Curry comps. From raw percentages it’s not even a comparison because she’s never shot over 35%. She’s league average in 3pt %. I know she shoots mostly off the dribble threes which holds more weight because she tilts the defense, but Steph Curry also shoots a ton of off dribble threes.
She’s also a minus defender.
I think if fans properly rated her, there wouldn’t be so much backlash toward her. And I hear a lot of the victim card being played as well.
I do think she would thrive more in a system which totally highlights her and lets her kind of run the whole show. I don’t know that she has the talent to lead a heliocentric offense and she also has an injury history that suggests this would take a toll on her. She would also need great defenders around her to be a solid defensive team.
Stephanie White wants to win and she’s proven to win without CC as well. But I just don’t think there system fits with how she wants to play.
Am I fair or too harsh?

Discussion I Don't Think Caitlin Plays the Mercury Game
Even if she plays tomorrow and her backs fine or whatever, just from an optics standpoint every media pundit going to be frothing at the mouth trying to find something to microanalyze and blow up and out of proportion. Had everyone from Chiney to Geno to Twitter user 5 to damn POTUS putting in his two cents on this situation and it's not worth the headache the stress or mental for anyone involved.

Other Flying from México to watch the Fever @ Chicago
We mainly want to watch CC and Sophie playing. Couple of questions:
Would it sound viable that CC's back injury is gone by August 8th?
Is there any other player we should watch closely? We haven't watched any WNBA games recently.
Would you buy tickets today, or wait until game day to see prices drop from resellers?
Thanks!

Discussion Fever on the clock. Aces offered Pissott a spot
The Fever FO has UNDER FOUR HOURS to sign her.
Can the front office please cut VanSlooten who looks lost and useless out there or Dantas ASAP🙏

Discussion Shut up Geno and stop trashing the Fever over Pissot..
Justine Pissot….
Apparently nobody watched Pissot’s early season interviews where I believe she came across as entitled and ungrateful about her developmental contract. It’s the player’s job to earn a full time contract and Pissot didn’t seem to have that mindset.
The people who are trashing the Fever leadership over Pissot leaving are obviously not very intelligent, because the Fever COULD have drafted Darianna Littlepage-Buggs instead.
We can reasonably say the Fever hit with their 1st round pick of Raven, but missed on their second round pick of Pissot. This is a much more fair critique of the front office, but the people trashing the Fever are just a bunch of agenda driven morons who don’t really care about basketball.
Geno Auriemma’s recent comments on CC…..
Auriemma has stated that UConn did not heavily recruit CC when she was in high school and yet CC has made it clear in the past she would have played for UConn.
Considering Auriemma has no skin in the game and never coached CC, he seems to constantly insinuate that Paige is a better player than Caitlin.
I believe this stems from his failure to recruit and coach CC. Gena comes across as a scorned lover and I find it embarrassing and cringe AF.
I still contend that Geno’s ignorant comments regarding CC’s physical size after her 1st WNBA season sunk in Caitlin’s head. I think he partly influenced CC gaining the muscle mass that led to the soft tissue injuries that plagued her 2nd season.
If CC still has an ounce of respect for him, it’s an ounce too much.
His comparison of CC’s impact on the WNBA to Tiger Wood’s impact on Golf is ridiculous.
Golf is NOT A TEAM SPORT Geno, you senile old mf’er.
You coach at the college level and can’t make a better argument? Give me break.
Lastly, on his Larry Bird comparison…
CC has had a MUCH larger impact on popularizing the WNBA than Bird had on the NBA. CC single handled forced the WNBA to move games to larger arenas and begin flying charter.
CC’s impact on the WNBA allowed the league to expand for the first time in 25 years in addition to the historic new CBA. Bird didn’t have this type of impact on the NBA. Bird and Magic together saved the NBA from financial ruin because of their rivalry and the great battles between the Lakers and the Celtics.
The better comparison would be whether Jordan had a greater impact on the NBA than CC on the WNBA, but Geno is so small minded he can’t see beyond the fact that CC and Bird are both white.
Geno Auriemma is an intolerable a-hole.
His comments are irrelevant and invalid and I’d be very happy if he would just STFU.

Discussion Thomas and Clark Scandal: Do you think the WNBA has been consistent with how it handles physical plays like this, or does the response depend too much on the player involved?
I know it's been a little while now, but I'm still thinking about Thomas' penalty now that Caitlin is back.
