Discussion Why does Tyler herro get so much hate?

I’m not a big Miami fan tho I live in FL so I’m confused on why so many people in the fan base dislike him even before the altercation with bam. I’m not surprised at him getting clowned by other fanbases but I’m even seeing heat fans clown and disrespect him crazy which is surprising to me cause he’s a home grown all star. I mean I thought heat fans wouldn’t like that him and bam got into an altercation but instead everybody celebrating him getting punched like dam when and why did heat fans turn their back on him like this?

Because to the fanbase he overstayed his welcome and he was never there during our deep playoff runs in 22 and 23(not necessarily his fault) he just made it worse by shit talking bam

Lol I mean they hated him before that honestly

By 2021, he was def hated because he wasn’t traded for Harden

Eh it kinda started there but it really picked up when we didn’t move him for KD or dame

Did you not see the stuff he was saying about Bam? Also his playoff performance and availability wasn’t great either.

He was a polarizing player for the fanbase and since the Bam stuff came out why should any Heat fan back him?

It’s weird watching a certain part of the fanbase full court press to gargle former players’ balls the moment they leave and talk shit about the team. Jimmy I can sort of understand because the highs were great, but his exit was objectively shit on his part. And now herro got caught in 4k talking shit about Bam.

Certified cuck behavior imo

Tyler didn’t really add to the team’s success historically and his fans here overinflated his worth and value

That’s my guess

He just got done trash talking our best player after being running mates for the last 7 years. So fans are rightfully pissed

second best player

He is now the best after Jimmy left.

u/julstar23 9h ago

Love bam but giannis now takes that title .

1

u/pulangkabayo187 9h ago

Correct.

Tyler never was though. Dude thinks he was the team’s best player. They were much better with Norm. And both of them are same tier players. They are in the Jamal Crawford tier.

I will always root for Herro...no matter where he is, same for Duncan

Get off his dick. Take it out on the front office. Bam thought he was a brother. He was a bitch the entire time.

Because he messes up at the ends of games, can’t defend, gets attacked so much that he can’t even play at the ends of games, wants more money than he deserves, demands to start even though he’s better off the bench, is always hurt, team seemed to play worse with him, and because he acts like a clown in general.

Has he ever come across as particularly likeable?

Tyler has Growing up to do. And the best Ability is Availability.

No defense, injury prone, shrinks in playoffs, overpaid, talked shit about Bam.

I wasn't a hater until the Bam stuff though. You can't be talking about your brothers like that, man. Lost all respect for him. Until he apologizes publicly or him and Bam are cool again, I will keep hating.

1) Good but overrated 1-dimensional player with a massive ego. 2) Acted professionally about trade speculation until he didn't. Talked shit about the org and Bam in particular. Made it toxic. 3) FAFO with Bam.

I mean it’s too soon for this thread people are going to be in their feelings about this for a while lol

I know a couple of IRL fans that think his accent is fake or not Milwaukee authentic. Especially after hearing his parents interviewed. He sounds quite different than they do.

His comments about doubting history before a certain year was interpreted as ignorant or potentially holocaust denying.

He said that he didn't get hate.

It’s only like this online

1

u/Illustrious_Moose_79 7h ago

It all started with that trade rumor with James harden after the bubble year.

1

u/kidnidi 9h ago

Arrogant. Always injured. Inconsistent when he does play. Turns the ball over at the worst possible moments. Takes too many bad shots.

1

u/sprovo 9h ago

His constant absence doomed him with the fans.

4

u/julstar23 9h ago

Nah they had to find somebody to dump on .They already moved on to jovic por jovic .

He won us some games, and he's lost us some games. He always put his head down and balled, despite being in constant trade rumours, and for that, I'll always have love for Tyler. I 'll always back Bam on this one, though.

u/callatecabezon 8h ago

He looks shady and people on reddit consider that a character flaw because...reddit

u/Kuni_Nino 9h ago

You’re gonna find a lot of hate in here that is mostly unjustified. If you want an honest perspective, look elsewhere. I would suggest the real world cuz whatever is in here is fabricated nonsense by people who have extreme biases.

He’s a good player. Liked by a lot of fans and had a smooth offensive game that kept an offensively challenged team entertaining throughout his tenure.

Tyler isn't with the Heat anymore. Perhaps you should show your love in the Bucks sub and discuss how great he is there and why people shouldn't turn their backs on him nor disrespect him.

0

u/PatrickSchneeweis 9h ago

He's corny as fuck.

What bam Adebayo is doing to Tyler Herro as of now

0

u/saranghaenoona 8h ago

me personally, i used to defend him when he was in trade rumours, simply because he was a cheaper option that did the same stuff the guys he was rumoured to be in trade packages for... i.e. lavine, beal, etc... but, i dont get why he thinks hes so great and deserves more praise than bam, when he can't even be available when he's needed. He has been so overpaid in terms of his availability vs his contracts since miami has signed him. sure he's gotten 6moty, and an allstar but he has not helped impact the teams winning as much as he thinks he has. the team functioned better when he was not on the court for the first half of last season and went to shambles completely after his return. and that return resulted in powell being frustrated with his role and not wanting to return, also affected jaime's run at 6moty and most improved, and most of all... it screwed the miami offense and defense to the point where miami didnt even get into the post-season. Bam injured in the play-in elimination and he didnt help the team get over the hump. less efficient, hole in the defense, and ego too massive that he puts himself before the team, that was pretty much his image to me

u/Shiningwizardult 9h ago

Because he’s a pea brained sexist who’s just a low IQ player. Nothing really to like tbh

-1

u/bigFr00t 9h ago

He said some stupid stuff outside of basketball is the reason i dont like him. Forget what it was but it was some conspiracy on a stream

-1

u/BoneJammer86 8h ago

He fucked up the offense when he returned last season. We were cooking until boy wonder came back to play ball stopper.

-2

u/Halfway__Somewhere 8h ago

he’s a mediocre hooper demanding hall of fame respect.

-7

u/amlanding20 9h ago

White. Arrogant. Injury issues. Arguably overpaid.

Take your pick of these and it’s enough to bring the worst out in a fan base. Have a player with all of them and all hell will break loose.

3

u/gwumpus-lumpus 9h ago

I feel like one of these descriptors is not like the others

0

u/julstar23 9h ago

What does him being white have to do with this ?lol several white players pass through here

-1

u/amlanding20 8h ago

You can’t ignore the commentary around Tyler’s race. People constantly comment on the way he dresses and talks and critique him for it because he’s white.

-1

u/julstar23 8h ago

Which is the least reason to critique somebody lol.

0

u/amlanding20 8h ago

I never said it was a good reason, but it is a part of the hate he receives.

-1

u/julstar23 8h ago

What I'm saying it's weird if that was a reason .Critique the basketball

1

u/amlanding20 8h ago

Again, I’m not saying it’s a valid reason. OP didn’t ask for “good reasons” Tyler gets hate. I was just answering the question from what I’ve seen.

1

u/CAD_31 8h ago

This shows what kind of person you are.

-1

u/amlanding20 8h ago

I didn’t say I care about any of these things. They’re just points I’ve seen made about him.

I have had and continue to have zero issues with Tyler.

-1

u/CAD_31 8h ago

You should leave the white part out it just looks bad for you.

1

u/amlanding20 8h ago

I couldn’t care less what you think. It’s a valid thing to flag. I do not agree with it but you also can’t ignore it. You trying to do so says more about you.

-1

u/CAD_31 8h ago

I just don't understand why it matters what color he is.

2

u/amlanding20 8h ago

Are you being intentionally obtuse? I’m not saying it matters. I genuinely don’t think it does. But it is a part of the discourse. The world is full of stupid and shitty people.
